A good resource for learning Tagalog!
One of the things I've been looking for in my Tagalog studies is a resource that focuses on dialogue. As there is a story to each conversation it gives you something a little more compelling to read and as it is for the most part every day conversation, you can start to absorb certain responses in different situations. I've been told that an audiobook is coming to suit the book which in combination with the transcript would be an invaluable resource for learning Tagalog!

Great Tagalog resource for serious learners
If you are looking for a good resource for conversational Tagalog at A1-B1 level, then this is it. The book provides a good variety of situations that are well written and engaging enough so that you won't get bored. For people at A0 level, this book may be a bit too difficult, but if you have a general idea about Tagalog grammar and are aware of main Tagalog-specific nuances, then you will be quite comfortable.Just to note, the stories are translations (I own the Russian version of this book as well, and the content is exactly the same), so they are not culturally authentic. This of course has an impact on the type of the language used. In some cases the phrases are just not what a Tagalog speaker would use in that situation, but if you keep that in mind and simply use this book as a resource for getting to a higher level (where you would switch to native content and therefore pick up the right language for cultural context), then this book delivers a bucket-load of benefits.Another point to mention - this is NOT a phrase book. So if you expect a cookie-cutter templates for opening a bank account or renting an apartment, then this is NOT the book you want. Yes, some of the phrases are specific to the situations, but I feel this is not the primary goal of the book. It simply gives you a lot of exposure to beginner-friendly Tagalog and the situations are there to keep it interesting and memorable. They are like mini-stories - which is a great way to engage with the language. My only disappointment is that there is no accompanying audio book to go along with all the content. This is of course a separate matter and I still gave this book 5 stars, but for people that are studying independently (no access to a language tutor who could read / record the dialogues for you) this is a big drawback. [edit: I contacted the author and apparently the audio book companion for this title is in the approval stages with Audible!]Overall: highly recommend this book, especially if you have access to a native speaker.

Great Tagalog book with various levels
Enjoyed the book. It has various levels from beginner to intermediate. It has different topics of interest. I look forward to more Tagalog books with possibly adding an audio to help with pronunciation.

Simple and Straightforward
This is a great resource for learning the Tagalog language. The introduction sets up how the book is written and provides great tips on how to study which eliminates a lot figuring out a study plan on your own. They provide a diverse selection of conversations to learn from which helps learning words through different context and isolating words that are specific to certain situations. I also like how the structure is simple. You get a digestible conversation in a few pages strictly in Tagalog. Then, if you need to reference the English translation, they are found in the immediate pages that follow.

Great addition to Tagalog learning resources
There are very few Tagalog learning resources so this is a very welcome addition.I enjoyed the dialogues and would highly recommend for those up to intermediate level.
