It's a good phone. It's ok. It's not amazing....The weird camera makes finding a case for it really difficult.The adaptive brightness can be annoying.The adaptive battery is meh.The biggest bugbear for me is my own lack of research. If I'd known the next iteration would be arriving so soon then I would have waited. Consequently I'm stuck paying as much for the 6pro as many are for the 7. It's a bit annoying.Considering how much the price has come down now though, I'd say meh. If you're looking for a semi decent phone at a reduced price then you can't go wrong with the 6pro.

This was meant to be Google's flagship phone. What a disappointment! When on reduced brightness the screen has a green tinge and flashes light and dark at the refresh rate. The fingerprint reader is slow, very slow, but worse still, it will recognise an unauthorised print and open. The battery life is pathetic, 12 hours' use then you have to charge again. As for wireless charging, don't go there. On a 15w charger it takes around 4 hours to fully charge from flat. There is also a black bite out of the top right corner of the screen. Google have closed down user group chat about the flashing green screen and black bite and seem to be happier to censor criticism rather than solve the problem. My liking for Google is gone. Don't be evil was their motto. Well they seem to have forgotten that. And they have just emailed me urging me to buy a Pixel 7, ha ha ha.

The pixel 6 pro itself. Upgrading from a mate 20 pro, I had the mate 20 pro for 3 years and felt it was the right time to upgrade. The pixel 6 pro is larger, faster and generally a big improvement as expected.However, even though the pixel has a physically larger battery, it doesn't last as long as my mate 20 pro which I was surprised with. At the end of the working day my mate 20 pro has around 50% battery left where as the pixel has 40%. I think it's due to the larger screen and the quicker screen refresh rate. Also I didn't realise the pixel didn't come with facial recognition which is one feature I do miss over the mate 20.As for the phone itself from Amazon Warehouse. The phone itself is PERFECT. The description said there were minor scratches on the back but I couldn't see any. The front and back glass was mint. This is the 256gb version and I picked it up for £400! On top of the Amazon warehouse 12 month warranty, I checked the IMEI with Google to see how old the phone was and to my surprise the phone itself was valid from July and I bought the phone in December, so it's roughly 5 months old and Google provide 2 years warranty as well. It came with the original box, the cable looked brand new as it still had the tags and the booklet with the little SIM tool remover was there as well.Overall my experience with Amazon warehouse has been a positive one. Well impressed.I know the pixel 7 pro has just been released but that's £850. A 5 month old pixel 6 pro 256gb for £400, I think it's a bargain considering the spec.
