Happy and Healthy Cats!!!
We have 4 cats ranging from a 21 lb Maine Coon to a tiny 6 Lb, 9 month old rescue. Before switching to this cat food I tried many other "healthy brands" which one or more of my cats so I kept looking for one that all my cats would enjoy. I started feeding them Merrick canned and dry over 7 months ago and have noticed great improvement in their coats, even our big shaggy Maine Coon (who now doesn't require as much grooming as before), their activity level and their overall health. They eat less because the high protein does the job to satisfy them, no more begging between meals :-).My Vet is adamant about grain free as he has seen over his many years in practice that the majority of cats on Grain included and Dry cat food have developed diabetes. We do give our cats Merrick Dry for a night-time snack because they like the crunchy taste but we stick to the canned for the bulk of their diet. One thing that I'll mention, which is not a "con" for this product but is worth mentioning. On Merrick, as with other foods, they all still had smelly poops. I started adding a feline digestive enzyme to the cans of Merrick at each meal and there is now practically no smell. Both canned and Dry cat food of any brand cannot add this enzyme into the recipe because it breaks down and is ineffective by the time it reaches your pet. Just as with humans a digestive enzyme is most effective fresh at meal times so it needs to be added just before eating. Besides the better aroma in the house, your pet will get more health benefits from this well made cat food if an enzyme is added, just make sure that it is a Feline Enzyme, Dogs are different animals. Don't feed your cat an enzyme made for dogs or one that claims to work for both cats and dogs. Go feline all the way!!Last, but not the least, all 4 cats love this food and there are so many wonderful and healthy flavors to choose from. Our cats will remain on Merrick for a long and healthy life.

Very finicky cat!
My ragdoll cat has a very sensitive stomach and I have to be very careful what I feed him. I have ordered this cat food several times and he loves it. Have no issues. Thank you.

Only thing my cat will eat besides shrimp!
The media could not be loaded. The ingredients of this food satisfy my requirements and my cat eats it. That is the miracle. The price is good compared to local stores but in general it is cheaper to feed my cat human food with cat supplements than to use cat food. I have been giving my girl shrimps or a chicken tender for dinner along with the cat food and she is doing fine. In fact, a previous cat who was dying of kidney failure got better!!! and lived 3 years longer than expected on shrimp, liver, chicken, steak, cantaloupe,& yogurt.

My cat loves it!
My vet said I should get this food for both my cats, so she didn't try to go and eat his, since she was more familiar with it. Well, we didn't need to worry about that, she finished all of her Merrick Rabbit pate, and it was her brother who wanted hers! She's done really well with this food. Her fur is growing back nicely (she had lost most of her fur in the back) and she's gaining weight. Her appetite is good. When we first started with the vet food, it was an subscription Urgent Care food, that she stayed on for two months. It was also a 5.5 oz can, and I mixed it with equal amount of pumpkin, per the vet. He wanted her to eat that can with the pumpkin in one day. I had never given her that much food, and thought she would throw up. But she chomped it down, even more so with this food. She can't wait to eat now. I am going to switch my other cat over to this food, its easier, and turned out to be cheaper than the Pro plan!I had never heard about so many different things until my little girl got so sick. Rabbit or Kangaroo food? That's my vet wanted me to find for her. No Kangaroo đŠfood to be had. So I did my research, found about 3 brands to try, and this is the winner.Winner, Winner, rabbit dinner? đđđ»

Arrived infested with maggots.
I brought this case into my home and found some of the cans to be dirty upon removal. As I got to the bottom of the case I realized that what I was touching and what was all over the case was a combination of dried food from at least one damaged can, dried dead maggots, and a huge amount of living, squirming maggots at the bottom of the case. Iâm lucky I didnât let this sit unopened for a couple of days or I mightâve had a massive infestation on my hands. The reason I didnât leave the case unopened is because I noticed that part of it had been taped up, which I found unusual, so I did want to make sure nothing was amiss with the product condition. I had not expected to find what I did, however. Looking at the bottom of the cardboard tray in which the cans were packaged it was clear that some kind of damage had occurred, as it was stained with meat and gravy all the way through from the inside of the case. Although the cans on the bottom level of the case were badly dented on their bottoms I couldnât tell if any of those were actually punctured or not. I didnât look too closely at them as some of them were covered with squirming maggots and I just wanted to get rid of them.I discarded the case and had to clean up my kitchen well to make sure I didnât miss anything. What an incredibly bad buying experience.
