Not the same as 5 years ago. Popularity rises; Price sky rockets; Quality drops.I don’t like the feel of the quality on these new ones (purchased 9/2019). I was gifted a pair from my wife, about 5 years ago, and they seemed to have been made differently now.The laces on my older pair are thick, real leather. The laces on this new pair feel extremely fake, cheap, and fragile. The older pair fit much better than this looser, larger pair. I typically wear a 9.5, and purchased these in 9. They are larger than 9. My old pair is a size 9 too, and they feel great; this new pair, not so much—the back of the slipper slides off my heel every step I take. The new pair has “Minnetonka” labels sewn into the heel area on the inside of the slipper. This is rather uncomfortable and irritating while wearing. It’s as if a piece of dirt or dead bug is inside your slipper; not a great marketing idea, Minnetonka!Sadly, I am not terribly happy with the fitment, quality, and feel of this new pair. I had my old pair for over five years, and could just buy that same-quality pair again now.

very very poor construction. would never purchase again.
This is not a reflection of the seller, but the product - the Minnetonka Men's pile lined hardsole slipper. Minnetonka has always been my go to brand, but now i may be reconsidering. this particular model, the tongue is attached to the lower half of the shoe with what appears to be some fabric or weak lacing. after 4-5 times wearing these indoors, they started to rip. i do not have particularly wide feet or a high arch, and have NEVER had this problem with this brand before. apparently, it looks like they tried to cut some corners on shoe construction to save a few dollars, and without using a leather lacing method on the tongue - these slippers are basically useless. avoid at all costs.

Poor fit
Poor fit as a result of poor quality control; as other reviews have stated, they come untied for no reason. My last pair of Minnetonkas lasted at least 10 years, if not more. I did not want want to believe the poor reviews, I should have. Another off-shored company sacrificing quality for profit. This will be my last purchase of Minnetonka products.

Crappy Memory Foam Insole
Why, oh, why do shoemakers specify the absolute =wrong= foam for their insoles? They know it's going to flatten down to nothing in mere hours of wear. I had a pair of Chinese made mocs similar to this which lasted 20 years, but now I'm on my 5th American and/or imported brand which won't last a year. I'd give my left one for a moc with a resilient foam insole which would last like the old ones used to. These Minnetonka insoles flattened out in under 2 weeks, so now when I walk out to get the mail and step on some discarded cigarette butt, I can tell whether it is filtered or unfiltered without even looking. Shame on you, Minnetonka, for importing the same old crap everyone else is. And shame on you all for not giving us decent lounge slippers.

Lowest quality yet from Minnetonka.
I almost never leave reviews for anything I buy on Amazon, but I am so irritated with these that I couldn't help but leave one. The quality on these has dropped so much since the last time I bought a pair of Minnetonka's. I have owned these for 8 days, solely use them to take my dogs out to potty, and yet the stitching used to secure the top half to bottom half has already broke. It's extremely disheartening to see this kind of quality from Minnetonka. For years they had been my go to slipper, but I think it's time to move on.

I purchased these slippers about six months ago and the stitching on the front of the left one has broken and now I have to order another set of slippers. My previous different brand lasted over three years. I would not buy these again.

Snug, toasty slippers that stand up to northern winters
We live in a place that experiences bitter winters, as -20'C isn't unknown. Hardwood, stone, and tile floors present challenges to keep feet warm while also not wiping out with wool socks. I purchased these slippers for my husband with warmth, soles, and fit in mind, and now he's had a few months to truly appreciate Minnetonka's benefits for a thorough review.Minnetonka, as might be expected for a Minnesota company, holds up very well on warmth. The moccasins come lined in sheep fleece and it's absolutely divine. After daily wearing over many weeks, the fleece remains tidy and durable, rather than matted down sadly like you'll get with artificial fleece equivalents. No odors and easy care count here. The exterior in a deep chocolate brown just looks appealing, and again, a little care goes a long way to preserve your investment. Minnetonka moccasins almost never seem to come on sale and people pay top dollar for good reason: they're durable, classic, and elegant. Unlike some brands, the quality really comes through. We've seen no splitting of seams, parting of the hard sole and the soft moccasin, or wear and tear much. The colour remains vibrant and looking good, despite being put through their literal paces. The sole is rather interesting, being hard, meaning you could wear this slipper outside and going around like house shoes. I wouldn't recommend it but the traction is very good inside. Solid grip gives a pleasant experience and no sense of slipping, which is common with some soft-soled slippers we've tried. We don't see any marks ever left behind on the floors, either.Minnetonka loses a star for the wide width not being really true to wide. My husband is a solid wide, and even going up a full size from his normal size, the moccasins still feel quite tight. We've used a cedar shoe spreader to try and help these conform, but it's very slow-going. The extra pile of the fleece probably adds to the tightness, but he finds the toebox comfortable. The tightness is through the vamp and the sides. I've got smaller feet, narrow sized, and found them only a little wide compared to really wide. Thus, if you're planning on buying these, go up a minimum half size. Definitely be prepared to wear thin socks if at all; they'll be a tight fit otherwise.

Great Fit
This is the second pair of Minnetonka’s I’ve bought. I wore out the first pair which lasted a long time. These fit me well; and I like the moccasin style which allows me to pull them tighter to accommodate my narrow heels. Still made well-worth paying a little more for me.

Wrong Size
This is a quality product for the price, having spent much more on an almost identical pair with a differing product code when visiting the USA a couple of years ago.The goods arrived far quicker than anticipated, well before the suggested deadline, but proved to be the incorrect size! In fact this pair are a size 16, which wasn't even a number suggested on the web-site as being available? When I considered the hassle of sending them back, cost of postage etc., etc., it proved easier to just tension the leather tightening strap as much as possible and allow for a slight floppiness. A touch disapointed when I know that the 15 would have been a perfect fit, and that I'd taken considerable trouble to establish that I was getting what I wanted from a product not readily available in the UK.The product is great value and the US company concerned were very efficient so I simply chalk this one down to an unlucky error on their part, which wouldn't prevent me from re-ordering in the foreseeable future.

Great Slippers
My purchase replaced a previous pair of Minnetonka slippers which had worn out after several years use. They are excellent slippers although they ere slightly wider than expected

Holding up so far. Decent price.
They are comfortable and warm. The soles seem to be holding up well and showing little to no wear after two weeks of constant use. They accommodate my wide feet. Typically I blow out the sides, roll them over the sole or tear the stitching so I am pleased in that regard. I do not however recommend upsizing if you need a half-size. If there was any more play in the heels they would fall off my feet to you have to compromise on the overall fit in the length to get the extra width. I prefer a more snug fit so next time I will find a vendor offering half sizes.

Great Slipper but watch the size
I like slippers very much. Very comfy, like walking on air. Ordered an 11w, but they could a little bit wider for a perfect fit. Otherwise, I recommend these slippers.
