YumMiam - Carambar Box

This was originally listed at $30 and no size indication so I thought I was going to end up with a massive box of candy.However, I received a much smaller box than anticipated with about 14 ounces of candy based on their nutritional information of there be 108 servings of 3.7 grams each.There are mostly fruit flavors along with a cola and then a caramel flavor which I found enjoyable. The inside of the wrapper appear to have jokes in French (similar to the jokes that is on American laffy taffy)I see the price has come down by half since I originally order, which makes this a more reasonable special treat.

I'm gonna be honest, I did not look over the description as well as I should have before ordering the YumMiam - Carambar Box and that is on me, so I am not counting anything against it for the size or any other surprises that were my own fault. That said, there are some things about the listing that made it easy for me - and perhaps for you - to assume things that aren't right.First, I imagined this being a larger box than it is. Think of an old cigar box or box that you would store pencils in when you were a kid in school. Not quite as large as I was thinking based on the pictures.Second, the candies themselves are "minis" which means they are very skinny and not super long. I was thinking maybe tootsie roll small sized, and these are more like - well, I don't know what to compare them to - they are smaller than that though.Third, - THIS is what cost them one star from me. They are VERY DIFFICULT to open. I HATE trying to get a piece of candy and fighting with the wrapper and hoping I don't end up with leftover paper on the candy or lots of torn pieces of paper everywhere. Unfortunately, those are real problems with the YumMiam - Carambar Box.All is not lost though and this candy deserves every one of its four solid stars.IT TASTES GREAT! All of the flavors are at least good, with several of them being outstanding.Our (My family of four) favorite was almost unanimously COTTON CANDY. Which doesn't taste like cotton candy, and we thought maybe it was Lychee. Caramel was good - but not really A caramel, but a flavored candy that tasted like caramel or even a little like molasses, but not the texture of caramel at all.The COLA was one of the best cola flavored candies I have ever eaten - with a real bite to it and the flavor of a good cola soda.OVERALL, I WOULD RECOMMEND these candies - just know that they are annoying to open and smaller than you might hope. But the flavors are excellent - even the lemon, which is not usually my favorite flavor, is quite tasty.The texture is sort of like tootsie roll flavored rolls. Very good candy from France!

Smaller box-yes, but the candies are small. You still manage to get quite a bit of these candies. My child was delighted the second I opened the box. The candies are extremely good and very tasty. The paper on the candies can be a bit difficult to get off in one try but my two year old did manage if that tells you anything.The box they arrived in is a nice durable box and gift worthy.Overall I’m very satisfied with this candy box, and I see they’ve lowered the price to a much more decent price for the box so that’s even more appealing.

I've never heard of Carambar candy before, so I decided to order some to try. I wasn't expecting much, but I was genuinely surprised by how good they taste! I enjoy the variety of delicious flavors. Some taste like cola, while others are caramel and have various fruit flavors. I can't pick a favorite because they're all good! Very happy with this candy. Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to this candy! This also makes for a great gift idea for that hard to shop for person in your life. Highly recommend ordering!

I have mixed feelings about these candies. They are chewy like taffy and come in 5 different flavors. The flavors include cola, strawberry, cotton candy, caramel, and lemon. My favorite the lemon, but unfortunately I only received a few of them in my box. It appears that the balance between flavors is completely random, and you're likely to get more of one flavor than another. Also, it can be a bit tricky to get the paper wrapper off sometimes (it sticks to the candy), and I ended up just eating some of the paper shreds instead of taking the time to peel/scrape off the tiny pieces.Overall, I'm happy with this interesting and unique French candy, and I'm glad I tried it. While the lemon flavor is a 5-star to me, the other flavors range from 3 (cotton candy and strawberry) to 4 (caramel and cola), which is why I am giving this candy a 4-star overall rating.

Considerations:-You get a very small amount of candy for the price you are paying. Also, the candy isn’t made of expensive ingredients, it’s basically a sugar based candy.-The flavor’s are just okay. They all taste as described except are a bit muted in taste. The flavors are berry, cotton candy, lemon, caramel, and cola.-Many times, the wrapper sticks to the candy as you unwrap it and it’s a bit frustrating to open.-Overall, I probably will give this out for Halloween since I don’t think it's worth the calories from consumption.
