ASICS Gel-Kayano® 27

These shoes are so comfortable and my feet no longer hurt working on a warehouse floor for 10 hours at a time! These are also wide, which make them even better. The gel-kayano is an amazing shoe! The gel-jadeite is also a great pick, but those do not come in wide. I would say that is the only downfall of Asics is they do not make enough of their top sellers in wide. Other than that, you cannot go wrong choosing this line of shoe for workout, running, working, etc. I will always love a fresh pair of Nike, but those are for style to me. I have date night or a quick shopping trip, I definitely go for style. However, I just got two new pair of Asics, originally just for comfort purposes while working, but I am pleasantly surprised at how cute (and thin) these shoes make my feet look. I will admit they can be quite pricey, but well worth it in terms of comfort and durability. I know these are meant to be running shoes, but they also serve well as working shoes (especially if your job tends to be a workout in itself!) I highly recommend this shoe! My only improvement suggestion is more variety in reference to everyday colors selections. The bright neon colors are not for everybody. Adding more variety in colors would be great. I like my shoes to match what I wear. I would probably have 10 pair of these if they had more natural colors that match my clothing/workout gear! Overall though, I am happy with my purchase and I would definitely recommend these to others! Get yourself a pair and your feet will thank you!

These Asics Gel Kayano 27 Running Shoes have literally changed the way I walk. I am a heavy lady (definitely NOT a runner) and desperately needed a good comfortable walking shoe that could address my foot issues so I could start a walking program. I have found the shoes! First off, when I put them on, I thought "Uh oh, these are going to be too small." They seemed very snug, but not uncomfortably so. After taking a few strides, I could tell that snug fit was a plus. My previous "walking shoes" were Skechers and moved around my foot, despite the length and width seeming to fit. I had developed callouses on the outside of my forefoot. My feet always felt "exhausted" after just a short walk. Well not with these babies! I have flat feet, over-pronation, and achilles tendonitis and after a few weeks in these, I haven't been bothered with foot or achilles pain, which can be excruciating. The shoes are firm, but not hard. The arch support is definitely there without feeling like a hard ball under your foot as some "orthotic" shoes can feel (I'm talking about you, Vionic). Very noticeable too is the stability. My gait has improved. It feels smoother, and I feel like I'm not lumbering around when I walk. My footing feels very secure. This isn't my first pair of Asics, I have a cheaper, older model that I use for yard work and they are still quite comfortable, just past their prime. I guess Asics and my feet just fit perfectly.While I was hopeful and frankly nervous with paying $170 for a pair of sneakers, I had no idea what a difference these would make. I plan on buying a couple of the brighter colors (I chose the solid black for starters). I'm not going to lie, I've got a long, long way to go to get fit, but I know I've got the right foundation in the Asics Gel Kayano 27!! Thank you Asics.

I've been running & competing in Asics engineered running shoes since the early 1970s. The Gel pads are perfectly designed & positioned in the soles to absorb, distribute & minimize the forces of impact no matter the course, terrain or length of the run. I've wore & abused virtually every model of Asics& other running shoes over the years, finding the various Kayano models to be my consistent favorites. This newer Gel- Kayano 27 model has not disappointed.The fit is snug, perfectly holding & supporting your foot while still allowing the appropriate amount of foot/ankle flex & motion control without overly compressing the tissues. The ankle areas are well padded & cut a hair lower than most other quality running shoes facilitating full range of motion and avoiding chaffing/ irritation along the edges. The material of the upper is flexible & breathable while providing excellent upper foot support and presenting a contemporary stylish appeal.These new Gel-Kayano 27s are my absolute favorite.

I usually wear an 8 1/2 US womens shoe and so glad I stuck with that size - they fit perfectly and even roomy. Anything bigger would have been too long for me. The gel support feels nice. I sometimes where orthotics and they fit in well (just makes laces shorter). I walk either treadmill or outside for 5 miles minimum daily and I have had zero issues with these shoes. According to my pacer app I’ve logged about 60 miles on each of these pairs and they still look pretty new. I would def recommend.

Out of the box, I like the look of the shoe. In fact, I like it better out of the box than I did in the photos on Amazon. I put them on and they seemed to fit well. Knowing I cannot return them with anywhere, I laced them up, not too tight, and watched a movie. It's the end of the day and my feet are as swollen as they are going to get. After 25 minutes, the shoes started to feel tight. My feet started getting hot. I became very aware of the laces and the tightness of the laces even though I hadn't tied them too tight. The support of the shoe felt good, cushiony. However, I purchased a size 10, a size I have successfully purchased in the past, but these were just too snug. As a younger woman, I had narrow feet. Now is a middle-aged woman, I am definitely a B width, but the sizing of this shoe felt like I needed to have ordered a wide - a widthI have never ordered before. The length felt good, but overall, this was too tight around my foot, too tight in the toe box, too tight in the width, as expected in the heel. Regretfully, I will have to return these cute running shoes.
