Q: is this women's version thin enough and tight fitting enough to wear under another shirt?

Yes, but it’s a bit bulky in the armpits because of the way the absorbent pads are sewn in. I bought this to wear under my designer silk knit dresses. It works but a redesign would be nice.

Q: If you have to wash it by hand (on a trip and staying in hotel) how long does it take the underarm to dry?

I have not hand washed it but with regular wash and dry, the armpits are usually still damp coming out of the normal dry cycle. I will then hang it inside out for them to dry the rest of the way and will be good by the next day. These shirts are a life saver though if you have hyperhidrosis issues!

Q: Will this help prevent sweat showing through on the back of my uniform?

Yes.. I do however propose that the price of these Tees are reviewed and possibly reduced to making it more affordable for ys who suffer chronic hyperhydrosis.
