Q: my board had a blown fuse. replaced the fuse and now thermostate say bad Bad TC Firepot?

Bad TC Firepot means that the thermocouple in the firepot is not reading correctly. I would first check to make sure it is well connected to the control board being careful not to remove the board side of the connector. Sometimes it helps to remove the connectors next to it first. Also make sure the stove in unplugged before touching any of thing on the control board. If it is well connected and still fails the replacement part is http://a.co/8XqY7dV

It could be a bad board or the connector for the thermocouple on your board could be damaged. Does it say Bad TC Firepot or Bad TC Drop Tube? The stove has two thermocouples.

Sorry I don't know what the serial # goes to. If you have a quadra fire AE it should fit. Make sure to count the number of connectors you unplug from the old one, so you can keep track of how many you reconnect. They have a way of disappearing when you are reconnecting.

As Jessica stated, check Tstat wires first. As the wall control and the control board "talk" to each other, it's difficult to pin down exactly who's at fault. We had a bad wall control after 3 years and the igniter took out the board after 5. Did go to the 300 watt igniter after that. VERY twitchy stoves, and very expensive to fix. Not the kind of unit you throw parts at until it works. You may be better off calling a tech in for this one. Once fixed, perhaps posting results on a forum for other folks to know what happened.
