Fantastic heater
Bought a beautiful electric fireplace on Facebook marketplace. Unfortunately both the turntable motor and the heater went within a few months of purchasing. Got this to go into my Coleman FL28-R fireplace insert and it’s working beautifully. Remember how the old one is plugged in before removing and replicate. Pretty easy. I only had to splice one wire, everything else fell into place with minimal effort.

Works great!!
This works great, fits in the same spot, not all the holes lined up as some of the reviews mentioned but it plugs in and works with all the other elements of my unit and works great!!

Great after market replacement
My Coleman Electric Fireplace Model FL28-R heater/blower unit packed it in after 16 years and I ordered this one as a replacement. All went well with the installation...even the mounting holes in this unit aligned with my mounting bracket!!! Simple wiring and Bob's yer Uncle I have heat and a fan!!!! Hurray! I am very pleased with the quality and it is quieter that the OEM one ever was!Highly recommend.Paul, Bradford Canada

Our Old Fireplace Has New Life
I replaced the unit successfully in a Twinstar 33e01 model that came with a house purchased last year. As most reviews noted there is no manual or instructions so you have to figure out wiring. The black and white wires from the motor were obvious where to connect. Mine had white wires connected to the top and right side tab of the heater, so they were reconnected same. The left side extra black wire was puzzling and seemed extraneous, so I just cut it. Photos show old and new units compared. Also, like other reviews noted, the mounting holes did not line up, I used one existing hole and drilled 3 more. It takes some patience to attach the ones on the right side under the fan motor, you need a thin screwdriver to fit through the narrow space and maybe a needle nose plier to hold the screw. It fired up perfectly and is warming now. I'm pretty average or less skilled on home repair, so feel good I got this done. This saved me a ton of $$ and even looking at replacement inserts was daunting as none available fit our box.
