I bought these to make preserved lemons. They hold just over a quart and are somewhat squat, so they fit better in a refrigerator. The jars arrived well-packed in polyethylene foam with cutouts and a heavy duty shipping box. Included are some black adhesive labels, which some might appreciate, but I didn’t use. I sterilized them in a boiling water bath with no problems. The seals on the lid are silicone rubber, which is a nice upgrade from the usual red rubber, which hardens over time. Finally, the wire bails are robust and made of stainless steel so they are not going to corrode. These jars are great. I’d give them six stars if that was possible and I will definitely buy these again.

I love a good glass mason jar, and these things fit the bill just fine. Glass is good at sealing without retaining flavors/odors, and it washes clean every time. And all the materials are good across some pretty extreme temperatures. And it's very washable, with an easily separable seal. And since the seal is just simple silicone sheet cut with an ID and OD, it would be super easy to replace if you ever needed to.

The size is great, east to close and seal. Perfect for making marinated or conserving.I recommend.
