The water in my town is so hard and this helps with the laundry, without leaving a residue.

We don't use Calgon like most folks do. We live and travel full time in our RV. We put Calgon down the black water tank to make the water slippery and this means nothing yuckky sticks to the sides of the tank when we have to empty it weekly! Works great!
