Ryan Rule: A Reverse Harem/ Dark Mafia Romance. New York Ruthless Book 1 Paperback – November 4, 2021

Book was so good. No HEA in this book. Ends with a cliffhanger. I love Sadie’s books. I had heard mixed reviews on this series. So, I thought I would give it a run! So far, Good!

I feel like the book moved fast. I loved the smheck scenes but I feel like the story progressed to fast and the details were few. Jessie seemed like she was all in but then by the end she just suddenly doubts them and leaves? The story line was a good concept but I feel like it could have been so much better. I’m going to keep reading because I know there’s more and I’m going to want to figure it out but I wish there had been more substance. I feel so conflicted about how things ended. 😒😫

Wow! This is Book 1 in the New York Ruthless series and it does an amazing job of laying the ground work for the series!We meet the 5 main Characters in the book when the Ryan's, The heads of the Irish Mafia, are settling a score that Jessie finds herself in the middle of through no fault of her own! In her moment of desperation she manages to sweet talk her way out of a very tricky situation and finds herself instead living with 4 of the hottest guys on the planet. Through this first book we are introduced to each of the main characters through their interactions with each other and their inner thoughts as they navigate a new situation that has them all feeling turned around and upside down. The Ryan brothers all fall for Jessie at different speeds and through different interactions while dealing with business as usual and trying to discover who the mystery girl really is.When the truth comes to light the oldest Ryan realizes just how in love his younger brothers are based on their reactions to her and her past. Just when the final Ryan succumbs to his own feelings Jessie falls victim to her past and the book ends on a devastating cliffhanger!This author does an amazing job of layering the plot as you read. Details are introduced over the course of the book that build on each other. Nothing is choppy or hard to follow but nothing is totally revealed either. This is expected in a multi book series of course. Each new discovery is well done and just adds to the enjoyment and the need to continue reading to learn more and more.The editing and grammar are very good. There are a few very minor mistakes but nothing that jumps out or at all distracts from the flow of the plot or the ease of reading the book.This book is also available on audio. Hollie Jackson does an amazing job voicing Jessie. She manages to be sassy and sweet and does a great job revealing Jessie's emotions without making her feel like a victim even when she seems to have every right to act like one! Aaron Shedlock is outstanding! The fact that he voices 4 brothers and has created a unique voice for each one that not only fits the personality the author describes but is identifiable before its even announced at the beginnings of the chapters is truly a listening experience!

I'm sorry, I hate to give bad reviews but that ending sucked!Pros: Strong and sassy female lead, lots and lots of decent smexy times 🔥🔥, development of at least some of the relationships.Cons:Oh so many of them, but lets start off with the fact that all of these characters acted way too dumb to be mob bosses! As well as too dumb for there supposed background. She's supposed to be the "best hacker" but the only time she shows any of that intelligence is with a computer.Where as I love lots of smexy times in my books I like it with lots of overall plot as while and a lot of it felt unnecessary and/or disjointed with an abruptly sex scene thrown in.Liam and Mikey felt more like side characters you don't really get a whole lot of their backstory other them a few details. Also, especially more towards the end, she spends so much time with Shane on page and the others off page that it feels like a romance just between the two of them.Last but not least, the end..... I don't even know what to write to be honest. I don't want to give any spoilers, someone else may enjoy this , so ill put it this way. Its totally a forced cliffhanger, and not a good one. Prepare to be disappointed with stupid choices and men who's instant reaction to a situation is anger. You can't say you trust each other and then within one page betray them, its just not believable!Don't know if ill finish the series or not, have to think about it later, right now I'm just too disappointed.Edit: finally decided to continue to the next book, just wanted to know how she would dig them out of the hole she made. Ended up not finishing at like 60%. To me it just got more forced, nothing flowed well and the relationship to me just got for one sided with Shane still being the main focus and the rest feeling like secondary characters. I just couldn't make myself continue.It wasn't horrible, I'm sure there's plenty who will enjoy this series, just not my cup of tea.

Don't read if you aren't interested in dark romance.Love Sadie Kincaid books. I can't wait for the 2nd part of this book.

Story- 3.5 🌟Spice level- 5++ 🌟Jessie is a hacker who gets the attention of the 4 Ryan brothers, Irish mafia in NYC, after they kill her Russian boss and decide to spare her life.The Ryan brothers are all hot alpha males and Jessie is their perfect match in and out of the bedroom.The story is a bit light on plot, not enough to keep me from reading the other books though, but the spice is panty melting, fan- yourself,read alone so no one can see your face hot and spicy, pretty much after the first few chapters, and there is quite alot of it.If you are looking for a RH with off the charts spice, this will be right up your alley. I just wish there was just a bit more plot development to offset the spice level.

Can you please add more stars to this review? I mean it’s not only mind blowing, it’s unbelievably extra freaking spicy! This book is so dang spicy I had to change my clothes twice, at one point. And it takes a lot to get my body pumping, but Sadie knows how to write scenes. Everything was sweating on me, EVERYTHING! Can I please change my name to be a “Ryan”?

i saw this book on tiktok and added it to kindle unlimted , ive had it sat there for a while whilst i finished a series i was reading . WELL ... i loved it , i loved Jessie and the Ryan brothers , and cant wait to devour book 2 .We meet Jessie and the boys in an unusual manner Jessie is being praised by the boss when there is an almighty hell up as a bomb goes off and guns start blazing and she hides under the desk , until a stunning pair of green eyes look down on her ! She looks upon the hot boss Shane of the irish mafia of New York and his equally hot brothers Connor and twins Liam and Mikey ....Then the fun begins ! How can she prove herself worthy and not of a bullet , whilst lying to them .I liked that this story is like a snowball getting bigger , juicer as each page is turned , rolling downhill faster until smack , its falls off a cliff making you want to roll another one .Well done Sadie Kincaid, i'm hooked !

Je ne suis pas trop reverse harem donc au départ pas super motivée mais bon, les critiques étant très bonnes je me suis dis...allez ! !!Bon sang quelle lecture !!!!!, les personnages sont complexes ,l'intrigue très bien menée et les scènes 🌋🍆sont incroyables.Ce livre peut choquer et déranger si vous aimez les histoire à l'eau de rose, mais si vous êtes large d'esprit, aventureuse et si vous aimez les héros dominants et possessifs, je vous recommande ce livre . Ceci est une oeuvre de fiction ce qui en fait le charme, je pense qu'aimer la dark romance ne fait que donner vie à nos fantasmes sans avoir à les vivre nous même ce qui est parfait parfois.....Je laisse cette évaluation et file lire le tome suivant.
