HDMI Matrix Switch 4x4 - 4K Switcher Splitter 4 In 4 Out With EDID Extractor and IR Remote Control - Supports HDR, 2.0b, HDCP 2.2, 60Hz, 3D, YUV 4:4:4

Needed one of these as my 4X2 unit was just 1 HDMI outlet short.

Easy to setup and works exactly as expected. It would be nice to receive more information regarding how EDID works, but I was able to find that on the internet.

As I stated in the title, it does work well. It nearly seamlessly switches and mixes my various HDMI inputs and outputs to great effect.Pros:4x4 matrixFull 10bit 4k supportAuto EDIDRemote controlCons:It gets unreasonably hot. And nearly hot enough to burn your fingers. I see this as becoming a problem in the future.The auto EDID is not as capable as I'd Iike and sometimes does not correctly switch or scale.I'd like to add that another con is that it does not support 4k120 but I knew that before buying. However, I really wish it did, as this would make it an EXCELLENT switcher, as opposed to an OK switcher.

An affordable 4x4 matrix isn't easy to find, but I have had no problems with this. Another review mentioned heat, I haven't had an issue with it. I use this to take multiple sources (PS4, PC, DVD) and route it to two of my main monitors or my treadmill monitor (where I work when walking). Really happy with this.

I purchased this item and had problems with the video and audio not working in one of the hdmi ports regularly. I ended up getting it refunded and purchased another one, hoping it was just a lemon. Unfortunately, throughout the time I had the new one, the audio would stop working sometimes, and in order to get it working again I would have to turn the unit off and then on again. A few days ago I had this happen again, and like always, I turned it off, but when I turned it on again nothing happened. The unit would not power on.I contacted the sellers to see if I could get a replacement, but they first wanted me to send pictures of the unit not turning on, trying a different power supply, etc. I had to email back and forth a bunch telling them explicitely nothing works, the unit is dead, and at the end they still seemed skeptical. I asked them to replace the unit and they finally informed me that I am right out of the 1 year warranty.I would not recommend to buy this unit at all. It is a faulty product and seems to have problems with multiple units. I never actually had it work without any problems. I just dealt with the problems every once in awhile. Instead, I should have kept sending each one back until I got a unit that worked correctly, if even possible. But for its price, it really should be backed better by the company. It is quite an expensive piece of equipment and I am out a good amount of money because the item is so faulty.
