City Threads Boys' and Girls' SPF50+ Jammers Swim Shorts Bottoms Made in USA

I feel I must leave a review to warn others that this product runs very small. I ordered a size 14 for my daughter who is nine years old (she is more like the size/height of an average 11-year-old) but the shorts appeared to be a size 7/ 8 if you compare it to other brands. The waist across is 11.5 inches! So 23 inches total- doesn’t match their size chart at all. They do seem to be good quality, but they would have fit her when she was six or seven. The swim top/shirts we bought seemed a bit more true to size. However we are returning all because I’d like a set that matches. Found one from Land’s End.

I ordered the pink swim shorts in size 12. I followed the recommendation of the size chart and got what matched her waist measurement. Unfortunately, the chart doesn't have measurements for hip or inseam. My girl has "juicy" thighs and behind, so the 12 was too tight in those areas, they also went past her knees (9" inseam), but it fit well in the waist. If you're kid is more average to slim in the butt and thighs I think the size chart would be correct.The material seems to be really good quality, nice and thick without being too thick. I don't think there will be a problem with see thru when wet. There is no uncomfortable crotch seem thanks to the way it's sewn together. I'll be returning and getting a 14, so hopefully that will give a bit more room.

I have been buying City Threads brand clothes for years. I saw these after shopping for jammers for my young boys and bought them. I bought the 6 and 3t but had to size down since my kids are super skinny. I kept the bigger ones for later though. The size 5 fit my 5 year old perfectly and rhe 2t fit my 3 year old. They are supposed to be snug to stay on in the pool.

We are currently on our third pair of these swim shorts, as my kids have outgrown the first two pairs. We LOVE that these swim shorts provide modesty for active little girls at the pool. They are seamless in the crotch, so no chaffing. They wash and wear very well. As with most swimwear, you may want to size up a little. Of course, over time you will see a little bit on wear on the bottom from sitting on the edge of the pool, as kids do. That's why we personally prefer the darker colors. It would be nice to see these swim shorts made in some fun prints! Very nice quality, and worth the extra money. Other brands on Amazon seem thinner and sometimes had a chemically smell. Not these.

I said what I said. I like these shorts and will continue buy again unless someone shows me something amazing at a similar price point but my littles either have really tall butt cracks or bigger booties on them ( or maybe no booties to hold them up I don’t know they’re all different and I can’t remember which kid has this issue I’m a tired mom) but yeah my daughters show their desire to be future plumbers when they’re sitting on the side of the pool deck. Other than that I like how it covers her legs so if she’s wearing a full life vest with leg straps it offers extra protection from chafing. And it covers more skin with spf material so less I have to reapply sunblock too because no one like to wrestle irrational alligators, I mean hangry toddlers and kids who just want to swim.Hope you got a laugh and found a good pair of swim shorts.
