Q: What does this oil smell like? And what color is it?

Dear customer, Thank you for contacting us. After infusion, our oil takes on a rich orange color resembling the “Orange King” Calendula flowers used in the process. The scent is a tone of olive oil and subtle earthy calendula. Please see the attached video which shows the difference (the right side showing the olive oil before infusing). If you prefer more of a flowery scent, we currently offer Organic Calendula & Chamomile infused in either Organic Sweet Almond Oil or Organic Jojoba Oil. Q: I am thinking of buying the wild rose product, but I am unsure about the fragrance? Are there any extra additives to the oil to enhance the smell?

Dear customer, Thank you for contacting us. Our products are free of essential oils and any other plant extracts that could intensify their smell. At Flora Biotherapeutics, we double-infuse (2x6 weeks) the plants into certified organic oils at a controlled temperature for optimum extraction of oil-soluble actives. Our main goal is to extract the compounds that benefit the skin not necessarily the aromatic compounds that provide smell.

Bisabolol is excellent for soothing

This product smells like heaven. Instant aromatherapy. I bought it after reading about bisabolol, the active ingredient in blue chamomile, which has clinical evidence that shows it to be an effective soother for irritated skin. The seller is in Edmonton, Canada, and it’s super cool that they’re local. I’m excited that I got a bit of of what looks to be their first batch.
