Q: why is this not for human consumption?

I just heard from one health care practitioner, that SOME "himalayan salt blocks" have lead and/or other toxic minerals also in them...she said she had to stop putting them out for her animals. Which makes me wonder what these things really have in them. Historically, lead was once desired for various reasons. Modern humans know it's toxic to living things. I have no idea if that is the case with this particular product.
