Any Construction superintendent out there has had to have needed into the elevator pit at some point or another. This is just the key!

I’m a professional elevator mechanic with 20+ years experience. This is a nice drop key and the pouch is really nice as well. The only warning is that this key is made of what appears to be hardened grade 8 steel so if you accidentally were to stick this into the door too far while the car is in motion and it hit the car sill I expect it would cause major damage or possible injury because this key is not going to bend or break easily like 99% of keys on the market. I would buy it again but please be careful and take control of the car before attempting to open the door.

I gave this 3 stars instead of 5 only because I had to modify it to get it to fit the hole in the elevator door. I did the modification with a mini-grinder and a vise. We use it on an Otis elevator door. It works great after the modification. Just be aware that you mayneed to do this to get it to workUpdate. The manufacturer contacted me and is actually correcting the issue. Great feedback. Great company. I’d say it’s now 5 Stars.
