The Review - I read all the reviews especially those regarding size and especially those regarding a bigger size and any comments regarding a slimmer fit. There was very little detail said on the larger size subject and this vest, so I felt like I was guessing when I ordered my vest which is never a good feeling. Therefore, I am writing this review so that others can order this vest with more confidence.About The Size and Fit - I wear an XXL in most things that I order online that come from Asia and I still get tripped up on upper-body garment sizes from time to time. Therefore, even though I liked the vest I was more than very concerned about the size of this vest when I ordered it. The options for my size range for this vest are XL-XXL and XXL-3XL. I have some gut which I try to keep in check, and I wear a size 42 pant. At this size the XL-XXL vest that I ordered fits me perfectly with the right amount of room to move. I guessed well. The XXL-3XL would have been too big. I hope this information about size helps any guy who is in the XL or XXL or 3XL size range that might be considering this vest.About The Shipping - The cost of the vest was $22.00, and because this vest is not a part of the Amazon Prime system therefore, I paid an additional $7 shipping for a total of $29.00. It took several weeks for the pkg. to be delivered with very little tracking information other than a statement that it had been shipped. After a point, even Amazon declared the package to be “extremely late” and ”possibly lost” but I gave it a few more days mostly because I didn’t want to deal with it and then one day to my surprise and relief the vest finally just showed up in my mailbox. There was already some anxiety about possibly of having to return the vest because of a size issue and then there was even more anxiety because the delivery took so long and even more anxiety about how far into the future this purchase might drag on if the item had to be returned and refunded. So just be aware, the shipping could take a while (5 weeks).About The Vest - The vest is very thin and does not look like the one in the picture mostly because the one in the picture suggests a much more rugged durable man’s vest. That said, I was not expecting a rugged durable vest for $22.00 anyway. I bought it for fashion, for the layered look and what I got is exactly that and nothing more. I bought the red color vest, but it is more of a burgundy color. I can also live with that, although the brighter red that was suggested by the picture would have been preferred. Again, I feared disappointment all around, but I think I can give this review 4 stars for a delivery that was problematic but then resolved itself after about 5 weeks), its ok-quality and it’s an ok-color and it’s a good fit.Long Term Quality? As far as how well the vest will stand up over time, I don’t know about that. Out of the package the vest looks right. The construction and the buttons and all of that all seem right. And the fit (on me) is right. I might even buy another one if after some time the vest proves to be a good garment.About The Buttons –#1 The metal buttons on the vest I received are not the same as the buttons in the picture. However, as I said the vest in the picture looks more robust than the actual vest I received. Therefore, the buttons are appropriate for the vest I received.#2 FYI, more about the buttons, my feeling is that because of the nature and style of the buttons, at least one of the buttons will eventually come loose and may be lost. If just one of the 10 buttons on this vest is lost it will be more costly to replace the whole set of 10 buttons so that they all match than you realize, especially if you are a guy that does not know about things, like buttons and how new buttons are sold.FYI, buttons are sold 2 or 3 or 4 buttons on a small card, for like $4.00 per card, for example. And if the buttons are anything “special” in any way, such as color, style, or material such as metal a card with just a very few buttons the cost could vary, depending. The cost of a single card might not seem like that much but if you need to buy 3 or 4 cards to get to 10 buttons then the ultimate cost of 10 metal buttons could be half the price of the vest. Therefore, I recommend a little extra sewing to reenforce each metal button on this vest.The Vest is OK. For $30 I got what I paid for.Amazon Prime is still saying it is late even though the vest was delivered a week ago. I don't know what your experience will be.

When it arrived in a thin plastic envelope and was very lightweight, I realized I wasn't sent what I had ordered. The description and photo is very misleading. Instead of a suede vest, I got one made of felt or some other similar but finely woven material. It was of decent construction at least, but the sizing was also off: I normally wear a medium, this was labeled as a large, but was very tight, barely buttoned, and was much too short.Update: the return label I printed did not have the correct address and was returned to me stamped "unable to forward". Amazon issued a refund, but it isn't clear whether it's contingent on its return.

The seller was very quick to respond when I contacted them about changing the size. It fit my husband and was the look he was going for with oktoberfest in Munich. He was nervous that it would be too heavy. Definitely very thin (which was perfect for what we needed since my husband gets hit easily) and a little short for tall guys. Overall, we received quickly and it was perfect for what we paid. It has the look of brushed cotton, definitely way more flimsy than it appears online.

Don’t bother with it it’s not sueded leather. Seller should update the product to not leather.

Good quality, design, and fit

This vest is flimsy and very cheaply made. Do not buy if you’re looking for something of quality.

Nice vest. Thin enough to wear in the summer. Does anyone really think they can purchase a real suede leather vest for under $50?

This vest is made of cheap, thin material, and it looks terrible. I am very disappointed with it.
