Just okay.
The length and shape are perfect but the material is incredibly thin. The area where the shaft meets the spoon is very pliable as a result. I’d rather it be twice as thick than it actually is, even if that does make it twice as heavy.

Excellent product in all but one way
The Varga Titanium Long Handled Spoon is an excellent product. Very light weight, very strong, and with a handle length that easily will fit into the deepest pots and thermoses to scoop out your food items. My one small dislike for the spoon is the spoon scoop size. I feel the spoon itself is too small. (teaspoon) For stirring food , and eating soup or other liquids, I usually use a larger spoon. I recognize the fact that if the spoon were a larger tablespoon size , it may not fit into various thermoses, however I feel the option should be there. I use a wide mouth thermos, as many do, and I'd appreciate the option for a larger scoop sized spoon. Other than this small inconvenience, it is a very strong, lightweight, and long handled beauty. And yes, I would buy another as is!

Perfect for meals-in-a-bag
I previously used a Snowpeak titanium spork. It seems very strong, enough to use the end as a screwdriver, but for eating meals-in-a-bag I thought a longer handle and just spoon (not a spork) would be better.I bought this item (Vargo), and also the Optimus. They are identical, except that the Vargo is uniform material while the Optimus has a shiny tip that looks like stainless steel (polished aluminum perhaps?). Both say "Titanium" on them. The Vargo weighs 0.035 pounds while the Optimus weighs 0.040 pounds. I would guess they are both made by the same manufacturer. Sea to Summit also makes spoons that look identical and come in aluminum or titanium, so again I would assume 1 manufacturer is making these with different metal options. Both the Vargo and the Optimus will be excellent for eating a meal-in-a-bag. They are not as beefy as the Snowpeak spork, but seem plenty durable to me.

Best long spoon, use with Vargo Ti BOT
Started my Ti with Vargo, sticking with Vargo. As compared to others, their Ti seems thicker. I don't want flimsy "ultralight" pans... I want bombproof pans that are as light as they can be without sacrificing strength. This means well worked (and not as thing as possible) titanium. Some of the thinner Ti (Evernew UL, MSR) could be crushed by hand. Not saying the Vargo could not, but my guess is it would be twice as hard, and last twice as long. These are the toughest long-spoons made. Wish the bowl was polished (doesn't feel the best on your tounge) but I do believe the texture holds liquids etc on the spoon better, which is relatively small.

Great soon
I used this on my 9 day trip and it was great! Long enough to get to the bottom of my packages and held up well with no dents or dings.

Great Racing Spoon
This Racing Spoon is great. Some things to keep in mind:-It is very (no really) light weight. I would not say flimsy, just light weight.-It would be easy to bend this spoon if it was loose in your pack. I haven't yet, but it wouldn't take much.I tell you all that to tell you this. A backpacker is only as good as his spoon. And this is a damn fine spoon. You won't dig any latrines with it, but you can eat like a champ when it is in your hand.

Perfect for Backpacking
Ultralight long spoon perfect for eating freezer-bag or freeze-dried meals on the trail. Has a hole at the end so you can attach a carabiner for attaching it to your pack.
