Excellent headset, but mixer doesn't work with PC and has room for improvement
NB: My rating is based off a single feature not working on the PC, which admittedly this headset is not primarily designed for, but I bought it and expected it to work based off the seller 'Plantronics Inc' (incorrectly) stating in the Q&A section that it would work. If it wasn't being misrepresented as working in a manner in which it does not, or if I was buying this for the PS4, this would easily be a 4-star review.I bought this headset and used it for a couple weeks before returning it. I mainly bought it for the mixing capability, but unfortunately, despite the seller stating it would work with a PC, it does not. When I hooked it up and couldn't get the mixer to work, I contacted customer support. The low-level representative I first spoke to was useless, as I had to explain at least 3 times what the issue was and what I had done to troubleshoot and she still kept repeating it back wrong, so I asked to speak with a manager, who was very helpful and worked with me over the course of a few days to try and figure things out. First, he contacted the lead developer for the headset who told him it would work, but then he tried it himself and couldn't make it work, either. So I returned the headset and sent him a detailed write-up of my thoughts on the headset and possible improvements that could be made to make it better. I've pasted it below for a comprehensive review of the headset, with a TL;DR at the bottom. For reference, the pair I currently use is the LucidSound LS-30, which aside from some annoying issues, works fairly well and has some very neat features which I quickly grew to love and would really like to have something similar in other headsets, and I will be making comparisons throughout this feedback.First of all, the main reason I ended up returning the headset: the mixer to separately adjust game and chat audio does not work with a computer. I see no reason this shouldn't be able to be done, and this was the biggest reason I bought the headset, so it was a major disappointment to find it doesn't work.As a positive, the headset is very comfortable. Based on this and a few of the other pros, I was tempted to keep it despite it not working as intended. And if I didn't already have a decent set, I probably would have. But as I said, I just couldn't justify spending this much on a second headset when it doesn't do everything I want. A big part of what contributes to the comfort is the earcup size and shape: they're actually designed to go around the ears, which despite the design of most headphones and headsets are not round, so kudos to you guys for making them oval in order to fit better. In addition to most being round, I also think my ears are slightly larger than average, and that one may be slightly larger than the other, because I always have issues with comfort to some degree with every other pair I've tried due to them resting on one or both of my ear lobes. While the cups on these could stand to be very slightly larger, they were some of the most comfortable ones I've experienced, and I realize you can only go so big before you start creating other comfort issues. So you seem to have found an ideal balance with these. The padding also seemed to be good, whereas many headsets have very stiff padding that adds to their discomfort. The RIG headset is also very light, which adds to the comfort, and the band is comfortable as well. I would give it an 8.5/10 in comfort, because as good as it is, it could still be a little uncomfortable after long periods. One other thing that could help with the comfort would be an option for a softer, velour-like material on the ear cups to make them more breathable. They could be sold separately or included with the headset. I think that alone would bump the comfort up to a 9-9.25/10.Another thing I both liked about the headset and thought could use improvement was the range. It seems a little better than my current headset, but it still wasn't as good as I would have liked. I realize it's more than adequate for sitting near the computer or console, but if the computer were in another room, it would be an issue. And more commonly, and the issue I had, was when I would walk away briefly, such as to go into the kitchen to get some food, while trying to maintain a conversation. If the range can be improved, that would definitely be welcomed.I also like how the voice states the battery level when the headset is turned on, though it would be better if it would state percentage (even if only in increments of 10%) versus just high/medium/low, and it can be overly loud if the headset is turned on while wearing it if the volume is turned up. I'm not sure if it warned while using it when the battery was getting low, but if not that would be nice, as would having it state the battery level every 10 or 20%, probably at half the set volume so it wouldn't interrupt hearing other things. Of course, this should be something that can be disabled. One thing I really dislike about the LucidSound headset is that once it hits 15% battery life, it beeps every 30 seconds, causing it to effectively have only 85% of the rated capacity, so I would of course strongly recommend against doing anything like that. And speaking of the battery, the life of the RIG-800 definitely seemed to be very good, which is something I appreciate. I would also recommend using the voice to notify the user of the selected EQ versus just using a different number of beeps for each one, as it would be significantly more intuitive. Another related suggestion is to make one of the ridges on the volume wheel taller so it acts as a stop, like on the mixer wheel, and then have the volume fully adjust from 0-100% by turning it that ~1/4 turn. This would both eliminate the need to turn the wheel multiple times to fully increase or decrease the volume and allow immediate determination of where the volume is set. If you don't want to reduce the range of the wheel by that much, thereby making smaller volume adjustments harder, it could be placed on the lower corner so it could rotate ~1/2 a turn, a slider could be used, or you could implement a volume control like with the LucidSound headset, which is one of the things I really like about it (the speaker and mic volume are each controlled/muted by rotating/pressing on their respective ear cup).Another thing I like about the LucidSound headset, and by far the biggest thing I missed when using the RIG-800, is the mic-monitoring. Supposedly the RIG-800 has this as well, though I didn't get a chance to test it fully, but in order to hear myself at all, I had to pull the mic right up against my mouth and blow into it or speak quite loudly. There also isn't a mic level adjustment on the headset. With the LS-30, in contrast, the mic level can be easily adjusted via the headset, and it can range from not hearing yourself at all to hearing yourself quite loudly. I like to set it so I can hear myself at probably ~25-35% of the volume of the game and whoever I'm speaking with. Not only does the LS-30 allow me to hear myself much better, but it also allows me to hear when someone is talking to me in person and to simply mute the main audio, so I only hear the mic-monitoring, and have a quick conversation with them without having to remove the headset. Even if the mixer feature worked properly, it would be hard to give up my other headset for this one due to this one very significant feature it has that the RIG-800 is lacking.I'd also like the transceiver to be a simple dongle, to make it more portable and easier to just plug in to a USB port versus having to plug it in and deal with the cord. If additional length is needed, a USB extension cord can always be used. Also, I would love the ability to buy a separate dongle, both in the event it gets lost or damaged, and so I could plug one into my computer and one into my nVidia Shield TV, and switch between them with the headset, instead of having to constantly swap the transceiver between them. A Bluetooth transceiver would also be nice, to allow the headset to be used with a portable device. I would also prefer USB-C to be used for charging the headset instead of micro-USB, as it is gradually becoming the new standard and it is far superior, being a sturdier design and easier to use. An adapter could then be included for those that do not have USB-C cables, though I suspect in the next year or two most people will.A few general design suggestions, besides those already mentioned, would be to make them fold for improved portability and to make the mic removable so they could be used as normal headphones. And if you were to do this, it would really be great to do what LucidSound did and have a secondary mic built into one of the ear cups. This mic on the LS-30 is so good, in fact, that I never even use the boom mic. And the adjustment mechanism on the RIG-800 (and other RIG headsets), while not bad, is less than ideal. It makes adjustment more cumbersome, makes me think I'm going to eventually break it when doing it, and it doesn't seem to allow for as much adjustment range or as small of increments as other headsets. One thing you could do to make it at least worth the downsides would be to put a connector (that's easily manipulated, not one that is difficult to unplug) in the wiring instead of having the ear cups hard-wired so at least they could be completed disconnected to increase portability and to replace them. Finally, one issue I experienced with my RIG-800 headset was a barely audible crackling static when nothing was playing. This was most prominent on mid-volume.TL;DR: If the mixer worked with the PC, this headset would be amazing, and if you don't care about that, get it. I'd give it 4.25/5 stars if that worked or if I didn't care about it. If I didn't already have a LucidSound LS30, I would have kept this headset anyway, but I couldn't justify it for the price when I have that one. Comfort and battery life are amazing. Range is good but not great (enough for gaming, probably not enough if you want to wander around the house listening to music or maintaining a conversation). Voice tells you battery level (high/medium/low) when powered on. Volume wheel has to be rotated a lot to adjust the volume. Mic monitoring is very quiet and doesn't appear to be adjustable, at least not via the headset. USB-micro port for charging instead of USB-C means more fragile and more difficult to manipulate in the dark. If the best features of this headset and the LS30 were meshed together, it would be, for me, the best headset by far and easily worth ~$200, possibly more (though I realize that price range would put it out of most people's budget, but I don't think it would actually cost that much, just that I personally would be willing to pay that much for such a headset). As for Plantronics support, it's a bit of a mixed bag, but from my experience, if the tech that answers your call can't help, speak with a supervisor and you'll almost certainly be taken care of.

Great sound Quality
I have had these now for 2.5 years. they were bought for use with PS4. At the time there were only a few options for a true wireless headset that could be used with the PS4. They have taken my gaming experience to a whole new level. I use the primarily for COD games. The extra sounds I can now here are unbelievable. No one creeps up on me undetected anymore. I don't use these everyday but have used them a lot. They have held up even with my 4yr old using them often and being very rough with them. The sound quality is very good in my opinion, and I am a stickler for the quality. I actually just came on here today to buy another set for my 15 year old, after using his high end PS4 brand head set and realizing how awful they are compared to this RIG set. I have read a lot of the 1 star reviews and could weed out many of them to operator error, They can be adjusted to fit almost any size person. The mic boom turns off by simply pushing it straight up. Has ambient noise sound adjustment. Never had any complaints from anyone one the other end about hearing me loudly and clearly...only picking up other faint noises in my background surroundings or outside the house even. Obviously I would buy again because that's why I came on today

Almost Perfect!
These are decent wireless headphones. The range is great, battery life is adequate, light weight, comfortable, and the sound is really neutral. Not too heavy in the bass, mids, or treble. Just a simple vanilla sound. I can appreciate that. Set-up is plug & play, can't beat that. The sound profiles are neat. Voice notifications are nice. I'd say the ear cups could be a little wider though. They are a tad narrow. As long as your not expecting recording studio quality from the mic, you should be happy. And the surround sound function of these headphones . . . meh. You can turn any pair of headphones into surround sound headphones, it's software driven. Windows Operating system even has a surround sound setting you can play with. I feel you are getting what you pay for though. A decent quality wireless headset. It just needs to be a tad wider, removable battery, and a better mic. Maybe less "gamer" style, and something more clean looking wouldn't hurt. But I'd buy these again if needed. Hope this helps.

Love this headset
Can't express enough how much I love this headset. For you stereo sound haters out there who think you just have to have the 7.1 surround sound or whatever, do your thing. But I'm telling you the sound from these is pretty awesome and directionally accurate. They're comfortable enough and pretty light. They aren't complete sound proof but do fine. The sound is clean! Love the highs and the bass is really deep and full.Don't get me wrong, the bass won't rupture your eardrums and the volume is somewhat limited. Having said that, I actually appreciate that. Helps avoid the temptation to wreck myself. The most amazing part about this headset is the battery. These things just go and go and go. Really really impressed with that. The mic works really well and love that by flipping it up, it mutes. The controls are so easily found and adjusted while wearing. The price is reasonable. Why not 5 stars then? Well, I'm being picky but the lower volume level and the hours it takes to fully charge keeps this headset at a solid 4 stars.

Lightweight and comfortable for long gaming sessions
Lightweight and comfortable for long gaming sessions. Insanely long battery life. Beware that if you have a ps4 slim, that unit does not have an optical out which these headphones need for full functionality. They'll still work using USB only, but chat/game mix will not work without the optical connection.Sound was a little lacking in the bass, even when I figured out to change it to the only good premade EQ. But overall sound quality is and mic quality are decent. Way better in fact than the sony golds which people looking at this product might also be looking at.

Awesome headset
What I like about these is durability and the lack of sliding parts. They are adjusted to fit based on 3 clips on each side which the ear cups are slotted into, the head strap does the rest. I was looking for durability and my friend sent me a picture of his set twisted into a pretzel. The audio is wonderful and the mic is clear as a bell.Cons, if you have big ears, the ear cups might be a little cramped, the height seems fine, but front to back might be a little narrow for some folks. What I hate is that the volume is inconsistent. On my PC, theres no problem but on the PS4 it seems they always reset the volume when I shut the system down, be careful of that if you have sensitive hearing, still catches me off guard once in a while. Still a great headset though !
