Definitely order a size up
I ordered an extra small for my "teacup" chihuahua who is 3.5 lbs. It was snug the first wear but I stretched it out a bit, but after the first WASH it was too small for even him..

Runs a bit small but quality is good
Small fits a bit tight for my average-sized grown teacup chihuahua. Luckily it’s stretchy material… just won’t put it in the drier. Think a medium would swallow her.Good for cooler fall season for my wee dog.

True to size that's why I bought two different kinds from this seller. My chihuahua was 2 pounds and nothing fit from xxs petco etc so I bought this and it fit He loves it since he'd gotten healthy I will be going up in size. So follow the weight guidance for your pup

Finally a brand that fits ours tiny girl! True to size
Our girl runs anywhere between 1.8 pounds and 2.5 pounds and it’s been hard to find her sweaters that fit. I’ve always cut socks into sweaters, but this brand is game changer! We ordered tri to her size and it fits perfectly.
