Great book with color pictures great for re enacter or air softer

Good photography and staging along with good descriptions.

2nd effort, better than the first. This second book, is needed to complete the series, and while I gave the first book a scathing review, this one is better, but only marginally. The uniforms depicted are great, the info contained in it seems accurate, as I haven't found an error yet, however, I'm quite skeptical of the use of full color uniform insignia on camouflage uniforms. That being said, what is the real detractor, again, is the use of the models to depict US service personnel. The average age of US personnel in Vietnam was 19...and while there certainly were many people older than that, I stated the AVERAGE age was 19, so having models who look 30 to 50 yrs old detracts from the overall look. Another problem is the use of over weight models...military personnel are trim and toned...these two issues really help to take away from the main focus, which is the uniforms. Now, in both vol.1 and now in vol. 2, the author HAS done a good job on the uniforms, for the most part. This book seems geared towards the casual history student, the re-enactor, the collector, and the military modeler. Take that into consideration. I will say that the color and photography in both books, is quite good, and helpful.

Das Buch selbst ist absolut und ohne Einschränkungen klasse. Fester guter Band super Fotos auf englisch erklärt aber verständlich.Aber, ich hab jedes Buch das ich bestellt habe doppelt bekommen das regt mich tierisch auf.

Maintenant, certains mannequins ne font pas vraiment "dans le ton de l'époque" au niveau morphologique et age apparent, même si c'est un détail au regard du fait que l'ouvrage est intéressant pour les amateurs, et qu'il est facile de constater qu'il a été fait par des ^passionnés qui méritent un bon coup de chapeau.
