Fellowes Plastic Partition Additions Shelf, 4 3/4 Inch x 17 3/4 Surface Area, Graphite (7528102)

This shelf was bigger than I thought from the picture. I used it on my cloth covered cork board which is between my desk and the bookshelves. it appears very sturdy. It was however difficult to put up. I believe that it was because it was made for cubicles and not necessarily for the space i used it in. But I was able to hang something up without putting screw holes in my office equipment which I'm sure that my Boss would not like.I just had to try many times to hold it firmly against the cork while sliding down. I had to remove it many times to get all the clips in the cork as often one or two would just be in the fabric and pulling down. Despite all this, Each time I simply bent the pins back into place and tried again. I was a little surprised at the sturdiness of the pins. all that shoving and bending and they didn't break!!I was able to put a small stapler, tape dispenser, two hole punch, and 2 large self inking stamps on it with no problems and with wiggle room.Everything is in easy reach, helping my work flow, but now that these items are off the desk, I have more actual work space and my office looks neater.Like another review, I too was disappointed that it only came in office grey, but have changed my mind. It matches my phone which I hung up next to it and gives the office some continuity. All my items on it are very colorful so it really doesn't look as bland as you would think!!It is a great tool for organizing your office or top help personalize your space.UPDATE:so after a weekend, i came into my office and found that it was leaning a little and pulling on the fabric over my bulletin board. I still loved the shelf, so i removed it , drill three hole in the back and used Advantus Panel Wall Wire Hooks, Silver, 25 Hooks per Pack (75370) (modified with a plier first to fit in the hole and then modified later to keep it tight) and it is very very sturdy now. Again, this may work great on a partition wall, but mine was on a fabric covered bulletin board. I do not regret buying it and would do so again. I was able to get it to work exceedingly well for me and it is wonderful to have my office tools at my fingertips but off of my desk. I am left handed so this is especially important because most office desk are set up for the free space to be at the right side.

Got my shelf, it has adhesive strips that glue to the shelf before attaching to your wall. Well, I didn’t have any hooks to stick to it so it’s a dud. Ordered another one for replacement hopefully this one comes with the right hardware. I have to wait another week to see.

It's nice quality matte black plastic and a decent size. You peel-n-stick (5) sets of 2-metal prongs to the back of the shelf. It took me awhile to get them all to stick into the cubicle wall at the same time. My cubicle wall is a hard surface with fabric over it. There isn't really any "give" to support a pushpin adequately. The fabric was stretching from sticking the pins into it, and starting to pull away from the wall (from the weight of the shelf without anything on it). I taped some string from the bottom of the front of the shelf to the top of my cubicle wall as additional support, and it seems just as solid after a week.

I get loads of compliments about these shelves! I have a few of them in my cube. They enable me to have some personal items in my cube, but still have plenty of work space on my desk area. The hooks on the back are a nice way to fasten it to the wall, but you need to get it on straight the first time. That fasten on the back with double sided tape, and have two metal prongs which are pushed down into the fabric of the wall. Being a perfectionist, I discovered that repeated attempts to fasten it can easily bend the hooks, and make it more difficult to fasten to the wall. Still, it is a nice design. You can't put a lot of weight on them, or they start to sag. I have a picture frame on one and two other light weight items, and it's fine. A heavy stapler will make it sag. I have two other similar shelves made for the corner of a cube which can take more weight, but that's probably because they are supported by two walls.

Hi, I recently received my new Fellowes cubicle shelf and I love it! I put it up in my office today and it holds a number of personal items which is exactly what I wanted to store on it. I put it at eye height on the wall beside my monitor so I can easily view my family pictures and vacation-related items that I store on it. The best part of it is that I moved these items off of my desktop leaving a lot more space and eliminating clutter. It was very easy to put together. It comes with 5 clips (very similar to cubicle clips) that affix to the back of the shelf (stick-on) and the locations to place them are already marked so there is no guessing where to put them. After you affix the clips, all you have to do is push these clips into your fabric wall by pushing down (just like inserting a panel clip) and the shelf holds nicely. The box said not to put more than 5 pounds on it but I think it could handle more. As a test, I was able to put my radio on it and it held solidly. I am very happy with my purchase!

This shelf is super easy to assemble. It took only a few minutes; all you need to do is peel and stick the included mounting "hardware" (for lack of a better word) on to some spots that are marked on the back. I'm typically someone who struggles with measuring things or straightening them so it was extremely helpful to only need to stick something on to pre-marked specific spots. If I remember correctly there are 5 of them and they are distributed nicely for weight. Awesome design to have the pins angled down and out to increase sturdiness. The size was PERFECT for me. Fit my tchotskies and cleared up nice amount of space on my desk, without taking up too much room on my cubicle wall. I do not have any heavy objects on the shelf but it fits into the cube securely so would not have apprehension if I needed to put something more concrete than little animals on! Very happy with this purchase.
