Easy to set up and really shaves the ice nicely.The ice shaving component is heavy and the 'guide' lines are not clearly marked for where you fill the ice and how far down the heavy ice shaving motorized component goes into the ice vessel, so it is best operated by an adult; not by kids. I would recommend filling the ice vessel 1/3 full and then putting the motorized component on top. There are tiny little grooves/arrows to align the motorized part with the ice vessel part. Once these are aligned and the base is secured with the suction cups on the foot of the equipment, to the countertop, then it is safe to depress the button on top that crushes the ice. Sometimes you need to press down a couple of times before it starts. Overall this is a great product! The cone holder will really only hold standard size paper cones or equivalent size reusable cups or you can take off the cone holder and put a bowl or cup under to catch the shaved ice. The ice comes out very similar to the texture of snow, just like a snow cone (less like shaved ice). It is easy to take with to parties as long as there is an electrical outlet you can use this anywhere! Great product!

Absolutely not worth it, tried it for the first time and the machine had smoke coming out of it. Definitely do not recommend.

Was working, we were very happy, then it stopped crushing ice and working again then not working again. We discovered a small crack we hadn't noticed was there which is likely the problem. Will return.
