I don’t understand the negative reviews on these. They are strong enough to be difficult to pull apart and they slam into the steel post I put them on. As far as 50 lbs, that is its rating for an overhead mount, not the front of your refrigerator. It also matters what the surface texture is. A refrigerator has a textured surface so they won’t hold as well. I use them to hang all my 3x5 flags on metal posts and they are perfect. The magnets are plated too so they’re not just the old black breakable junk that used to be all we had. Also comes with a set of smaller hooks.

This product claims to hold 50 pounds. It does not. I hung my purse on one and it slide down. I tried two hooks together and it still slide down. I put three hooks together and it finally held my purse up. My purse has a lot of stuff in it and it weighs 6 pounds so I am not pleased with these hooks.

Purchased to take on a cruise (suggested on a video) and we were blown away by how strong these were. Searched through a lot of magnetic hook options, and chose these for their hanging strength, but even then, we were impressed. Two different hook sizes included. We used the larger hooks. Hung a VERY HEAVY hair curler/dryer and expected it might slide down the wall a bit due to the weight - never moved an inch. Hung shirts on hangers, hats, heavy towels - none of the hooks budged in the least. Husband took them for his garage when we got home, but I would not hesitate to purchase them again. Amazing.

I bought these to hang our Instant Pot gaskets on the fridge. The magnets arrived compactly arranged in a cute little green box. They should be used with caution on surfaces where you don't want to damage the finish. To avoid such damage: While determining your exact placement, or when removing the magnets, pull them straight out. Don't slide them around on the surface unless it's somewhere you don't care if the surface gets scratched. They are very strong. I tested one by hanging a small frying pan that weighs1 pound and 2 ounces. It held with no problem. But I would only use them for things of that weight on surfaces where I wouldn't mind scratches, because removing and replacing the heavy thing might scratch the surface. I was dubious of the manufacturer's "50+LBS" claim until I realized that it refers to the "attractive force," not the amount of weight they will support.
