We ordered this light a year ago after we had stuff stolen off our front porch and our cameras couldn’t make out the face because our light was too dark. This light has been on for over a year straight! We never turn it off and it’s still as bright as day one, and let me tell you, this sucker is BRIGHT! It’s like we have a stadium light on our front porch! I’m sure our neighbors all hate us because it’s blinding for a mile away

This is a large bright bulb. Should be placed in the middle because it lights up all around. Does not flicker and works great. Price is right. Does not get to hot like some bulbs do. Worth it.

Bought this for our garage to replace the regular lightbulb we had in there, and this did not disappoint. At first, I was shocked at how small it was because I thought I had ordered a bigger one, but it works just as good as the big one, and looks better because it’s not so big. I just recently ordered another one because another light went out in the garage. It’s a great price also.

We had standard LED’s in the garage prior to ordering these. I’ll never go back. These are awesome. As long as they last a while, I’ll be happy!

We haven't had this long enough to speak about its longevity, but so far it's great. Purchased to replace an (apparently) failed bulb in our guard light. I was semi-new to this style of light and wasn't aware that the 'usual' vapor bulbs require additional circuitry in the lamp fixture to operate, which has to be bypassed in order to use the newer LED type bulbs. I had previously ordered a 'direct replacement' type bulb before I found this out, which I returned. I can't at this point say for sure whether it was the original bulb or that circuit that had failed in our case, but it doesn't matter now that I've bypassed it. (It was obviously ancient).I intentionally purchased an LED unit with a brightness rating similar to what we had instead of getting the highest light output available because we didn't need or want that much light "out here". (We live in the country and enjoy our dark starry nights outdoors. The guard light is just to provide some illumination in the area around my remote workshop.)

Great for the price

While I can’t exactly quantify it, the light output is more like 1500 lumens, and the color rendering index (CRI) is not remotely 90. The color is very blueish, like a bad fluorescent of a bygone era. No included specifications, and the skimpy note says this lamp “HAS to be installed by a professional electrician.” Pathetic!
