$30 - value is great. Looks good with blue light. Ease of use- I never read the manual and it was a breeze. Yes, if you miss the area where the water goes it’s a mess. yes if don’t push the craft in all the way it’s a mess. Yes if you pour too fast you will spill. If these items bother you get a keurig. This makes great coffee, looks great. My last west bend lasted 10.5 years.

I got what I expected. It lasted a Year.That's not too bad for the price and 2 pots per day sometimes 3.There are expensive Coffee makers on the market and I didn'twant to spend the money. The Price of this, reflects the Quality.I like the "Steep" feature and also the bold brew selection.Cone Filters are a big plus and the only thing I use.Makes good Coffee and you get what you pay for.Happy with a Year of service.

Poorly constructed. The machine arrived with the handle for the basket broken. The basket is difficult to romove with a broken handle.The handle was secured with a small plastic pin at the hinge point. Its about 1/16th of an inch piece of plastic which arrived broken. So this is not recommended due to the failure of a moving part that is fragile and is used every time coffee is made. Never made any coffee with this one. Back into the box and being returned.

I was looking for a coffee maker to replace my Melitta (Now Hamilton Beach) all time favorite coffee maker after I broke the glass carafe, but since the prices have jumped so high I was looking for an alternative with many of the same features. I found it and it was on sale for $30 prime. Had to try it. Upon first reading reviews I was uncertain, but it did come with auto shut off, a bold selection for brewing, and a cone shaped filter slot which were must haves. It has another option or two I hadn't yet tried as well. It was only lacking my favorite robust setting, and a high/med/low burner setting, as I hate scorching hot coffee.Upon our first use we didn't like it much. The engineering on this model was very poor. Just as the reviews said, it has small spaces in which to pour your water in, the reusable/ removable filter leaves fine grinds in your coffee, and OH the dreaded spills while pouring. We were not happy with the mess each time we filled a cup, BUT we discovered that if you use the wee tab at the back of the coffee pot lid with your thumb, the lid lifts and voila, no more spills. Couple weeks of learning the maker and we are now happy. We lift the lid while pouring in water, pouring coffee, and use our own store bought unbleached filters and life is good once more. I have even learned to like the steep setting, it is worth the minute or two wait for your morning bold brew.One last thing, as per the reviews, I watched for the over flow of coffee while making it. My first attempt to use the machine (thankfully while running water through it the first time) I too discovered I did it incorrectly. You must get the filter holder deep down inside the machine and even hear it click. Once in place correctly it more or less touches the top of your coffee pot. Bend down and take a look, or you too will have an issue your first pot.Not a perfect design, but once you get to know your coffee maker it will all be good.

I love this coffee pot! I stopped drinking coffee and got rid of it, then purchased another when I started back on coffee again. It’s easy to use, reliable, and looks nice sitting on the counter.

Initially had problem as coffee spilled from bottom of machine after about making 4 lots of coffee. Thought defective but upon further reviewed, noted that coffee grounds had plugged up opening. Works good now as long as we keep this cleaned out. Update: We thought coffee grounds plugged opening BUT even after cleaning out & maintaining, upon start of brewing , coffee still periodically leaks out of bottom of the coffee maker all over counter. This coffee maker has been a total headache.

My coffee pot crapped out on me so I thought I'd give this one a try. I love it! Setting everything is so easy and the reusable filter is wonderful! It also stays on for two hours which is really convenient when you drink more than one cup in the morning.

The coffee does taste good, which is the most important thing about a coffee maker. That being said, there is a definite learning curve to using any but the most basic coffeemaking function. I made the mistake of trying the "steep" mode first. I thought I followed the directions but the coffee took forever to finish. A half hour after I started there was still a puddle of fluid sitting on top of the grounds, seemingly not going anywhere. I tried again, thinking I must have misunderstood something, and this time coffee leaked out onto the counter and again there was that puddle. I discovered that some grounds had gotten outside the filter and blocked the flow hole. It's apparently a very small hole and easily blocked. I assumed that was the problem but decided not to chance it again since it was an hour later and the second time "steep" had failed. In the end I just poured out what was in the carafe and started from scratch. This time, I used the "bold" setting and it worked just fine. Since I don't know what the difference in flavor is between steeped and bold coffee, I decided to just stick with bold. I have used coffeemakers for years and this is the first time I had a problem. I'm pretty tech savvy but I shouldn't have to be for a simple cup of coffee. I will play with the different settings some more once I'm comfortable, but I would only recommend this for those people who enjoy fiddling around to experiment with subtly different coffee results.

Easy to use but carafe is excessively drippy and annoying.

This coffee maker lasted 10 months.. I used it once a day only. Very expensive for something that doesn't last.
