The Other Side of Glory

As a parent with a MN High School Basketball player, this book was fun to read. (And reading it all in one evening!) Reading about teams my daughter has played and teams we’ve watched at the State Tournament hit close to home. I believe this book has great messages for all athletes and their supporters. Hopefully it will inspire those who read it to look to the other side of glory.

Inspiring, fast-paced read of a high school hometown girls basketball team that rises to overcome a cursed history. The author’s apt descriptions of players’ determined personalities, skilled playmaking, and the honest growth achieved through high school sports make this story relatable for all ages and has you rooting for the Wildcats, as if you’re right in the bleachers.

This book was so hard to put down!! It has so many great situations that, I think, most teams can relate too! It was so well written even those who do not know basketball can understand the parts that have basketball language. For sure my favorite book I have read in a long time!

The Other Side of Glory was a great read. The book told the incredible story of Waconia Basketball. I recommend this book to players, coaches, parents and supporters of athletics. Great book, great players, great coaches and great author!

I really enjoyed reading this. It brought back many memories from my own high school basketball days. I highly recommend!

This puts you right where the action takes place as if you are watching in person!Very enjoyable to read.
