Q: Is this marker suitable for fabric?

While I did not buy this for fabric, I know it does adhere to fabric. In fact, it does not wash out. It's still on my sleeve where I marked it by accident. It may not work on all fabrics, and it may bleed on some fabrics, but overall I'd say it would work very well on most fabrics.

Q: Purchased cedar wood hangers for our bridesmaids. Can the gold pen be used to write their names on the hangers without blobbing or smearing?

Yes! I have used the gold on many items it's easy to work with and gives you a nice opaque color. You may want to seal the hanger after to prevent scratching.
