Wanted to write a detailed review with plenty of photos, knowing from experience the cost of makeup stuff, especially if you’re setting up fresh or needing travel forms of things…Disclaimer: I’m FAR from a makeup Guru these days so I know very little (other than learning online) about the new products & techniques the past 8yrs or so…This is for the RETRACTABLE PINK selection in this listing… Although I’ve also bought the 2Pcs little bronzer buffing brush things in the cases too so I’ll add a separate review or add to this one when those arrive….Size wise, this brush is excellent!!! Very easy for even a small handbag or makeup bag, even if you’ve got lots of other things you need to carry too. I added a photo of it in its most compact state next to a marker, which is the same size as any regular “slim” marker (not the thick size).Colour is nice. I’m not “a pink person” most of the time but it’s a very nice, dusty-type pink that could suit “pink people” as well as people who aren’t a big fan of pink… all photos taken are in natural, morning light & background is black (but it’s not “jet black).The bristles are very soft & there’s a lot of them. It’s surprisingly dense without becoming almost stiff. This would be great for powders & buffing on the go but probably wouldn’t be the best choice for applying liquids.The bristles have a slight smell at new, but it’s mild & doesn’t smell like a chemical or perfume. It’s probably from the dye but that’d probably wash away 1st wash if it bothers you. I’m sensitive to perfumes & chemical smells, I avoid them like the plague but it doesn’t bother me whatsoever or is a smell that worry’s me or anything.I thought the lid “screws on”, but it actually clicks on. You do have to press lightly to hear a click for the lid to lock on. It pulls off very easily without being so loose it’ll fall off in a bag. They’ve definitely nailed it there.You retract the brush back inside the handle to put the lid on, which doesn’t lock so you have to hold it down & then push the brush back up inside the lid once you’ve got the lid on….I’d suggest slowly turning the brush at the same time as pushing it up after putting the lid on to avoid the bristles getting bent or folded inside the lid.It does have a few downsides I wasn’t aware of though that might be a issue for some people:The brush itself doesn’t lock into place or have any kind of resistance at all, so when using it, you manually have to be pushing on the bottom to keep the bristles out & so the brush doesn’t get pushed back into the handle as you’re using it. That’s really easy to do though by just keeping your thumb over the bottom, which is thick so it’s easy to do, especially when this brush is really designed for travel & touchups on the go, not for full foundation applications on the regular.Same goes for putting the lid on. You must retract the brush into the handle to put the lid on cause the brush fans out too wide when extended, but due to no locking or resistance in the handle, it basically just flops in & out of the handle, you need to manually be pulling the brush back in & hold like that till you’ve clicked the lid on. That one is a little harder to do but it’s definitely not “hard” cause of how thick & short the brush is overall but it’s something worth noting…That could be beneficial for some people though cause you could choose not to extend the bristles fully out if you wanted a shorter, less flexible & more dense bristled brush, although it’d probably be difficult holding the handle partially retracted & maintaining that length.Also, I added a closeup photo of the rim at the base of the bristles where the lid locks on… Basically there’s some tiny spots of plastic that kind of grinded off from the little lip that makes the lid “click” on & those tiny flakes did get through the brush bristles after 2-3 times of taking the lid on & off…. However, I did think it was a “screw on” lid at first so that could possibly only be cause I was screaming the lid on the 1st couple of times when it wasn’t meant to… It all brushed out super easy but not sure how long the lid will continue to click into place tightly for if the plastic there wears away quickly, but this really isn’t a “every day” brush anyway so should last a good while just for travel or the occasional touch up…I’ve added plenty of photos showing it in all its states. I LOVE the size & how it’s got a lid. Perfect for having in your handbag without damaging the bristles or making a mess.Oh & haven’t used the brush yet but being kinda rough running my fingers over it, it shed 2 hairs (which could’ve already been loose) so seems like it won’t be a shedder either, which is great!!The bristle themselves do thin out slightly at the tips too. The brush has a slight dome shape.I’ve found it can generate a lot of static electricity (from me retracting & twisting it ect inside the lid) & that caused some outer bristles to fan right out but it was definitely just the static doing that & no doubt from the way I was handling it & they’re all back in place now.For the price ($9 at time of writing), I’m very happy. It’s convenient, gives great peace of mind, great & easy size, the design isn’t perfect but it’s pretty good & the plastic feels very tough so for $9, it’s a keeper!!!Hopefully this review helps someone. Love bristles are densely pack making this for an effortless even application for liquid foundation.

Overall super satisfied with this brush it is very petite and fits so nicely in my make up bag I love that it’s easy to travel with or pop in my purse if I need to! I love how it glides on my foundation. My new favorite!!
