This review is based upon time of receipt of the Garden Kneeler, not feedback after long term usage. I am a tradesman, and IMO the product is solid, and easy to use, for this price point. It is not light compared to aluminum, but is also not anywhere near heavy either...a little more than 1/2 gallon of milk. The primary reason for purchase was to aid my elderly Mother during kneel to stand transitions, and the product works well for this need. My wife has Muscular Dystrophy, and in spite of her significantly weakened grip and being far weaker than my 82 year old Mother, she is still strong enough to squeeze as needed to allow the legs to open/close. The foam is both soft/firm enough as is for us....but easy to alter with aftermarket products. Ours is the 10 1/2" x 24" base, and being smaller is more adaptable to uneven garden terrain than the model with a larger depth, but if stability is of greater importance, then definitely purchase the type with a larger base. So this product has no bells or whistles with customization options, but end of the day it works for our need and I would purchase again!.

My Mom is 95 but loves her garden. This gives a comfortable kneeling surface on rocky soil, allows her to stand up slowly and steadily and flips to be used as a resting bench as she makes her way around the garden. I even dragged it in the house for her to use in the shower when she was under the weather. Top notch construction.

In general a good product, well made, with sturdy sides and dense foam. Two things I noticed, 1. the pocket width in the tool pouch are far to narrow for most garden tools, though you might be able span two pockets with the handles of a tool. 2. The metal "feet", actually just formed tubing, are not stable at all on loose or uneven surfaces (like an area where you turned over soil for planting). The pocket has velcro so you can adjust to whether you're using kneeler vs chair.

I bought this for my 80 yr old mother and shipped it. At her Senior Citizen complex she has garden space and gardening is one of her favorite hobbies. It was extremely difficult for her to bend down and get up until this Portable Kneeler showed up at her door! She uses the side arms to lift herself up and it works like a charm. She also can sit or kneel on it! Great product!

I used it in my yard yesterday for the first time and it made my gardening chores much easier. As a senior citizen, I can use all the help I can get in kneeling and getting up and down without struggling or possibly doing some injury to myself. This kneeler gives me that support. I would highly recommend this product to anyone who needs a little extra help getting up and down while gardening.

Love this kneeler! I was in a cast this summer and couldn't use one of my arms when weeding. this allowed me to kneel and weed using my good hand for weeding and my lame arm propped on the "arm rest". Nice to have a hand hold to help yourself up with. The only issue is that useless bag that comes with it. Way too small for any of my tools. Luckily it is on with velcro and could be removed.

The media could not be loaded.  Pros:Easy to unfold and snap into place.Weighs 5.5 pounds so it is fairly lightThe holder for tools " velcros" onto the hand rail so it is removable.The seat is comfortable and the knee pad is soft enough even if you have bad knees.Bench height from ground suitable for me (5' woman) and my husband (6')Cons:Can tip over if you are lifting yourself up from sitting position and you don't have your hands centered on the barsIs fairly wiggly which makes me wonder how long the device will lastThe tool holder is not deep enough for most tools so isn't particularly useful

It's amazing!!! I bought it for my mother because she loves working in her yard. But she has a hard time getting up from a low position. With this garden kneeler, she has the sides to help her grab on to help her have extra strength to stand up. Plus, she can also turn the kneeler over and sit on it to do different levels of yard work. She absolutely loves it. It's so light weight she can easily carry it around to the area wherever she needs to use it. And she loves the tool pocket where she can keep the tools that she needs to use where she is working.

It has not been used yet but is sturdy and the added tools are very useful. Delivered on time and packaging very substantial.

Despite my daughter informing me that these were what old people used, I went ahead and bought one of these as once down on my knees, I find it difficult to get up again and usually look for other things to do while I'm down there. Yes dear daughter like, and old person. It's probably because I spent hours kneeling on the floor picking up after you that my knees are buggered in the first place. Anyway, it's nice and sturdy, much stronger than I expected it to be and has the added bonus of turning into a stool when turned up the other way. Very handy for when I'm skiving in the greenhouse with a glass of wine instead of cooking the dinner. The handy little pouch that hangs on the side is perfect for the gardening tools that came with it. These are a nice touch and actually very usable, strong with nice wooden handles. Leave them in the shed and you can replace them with secateurs a dibber and an individual bottle of wine. The seat/kneeling pads are comfy enough and I can see myself using this for years to come.
