Haha. So glad this isn't a harem!! Like all the authors other books this one is just as vivid and creative. As if you were actually there! Storyline is so riveting you can't put the book down because you just can't wait to see what happens next! Awesome book!! Can't wait to read the next book in the series!

This was a very enjoyable read. I started reading and ignored everything else until I finished. The main characters are likable. The world/magic makes sense. It is not a harem, at least not yet (and I’m really hoping it doesn’t turn into one.) The biggest downside of the book is all the typos! Wrong or missing words and problems with continuity are everywhere. One character is introduced as a fox-like female- but a few times she is referred to as feline/cat! I plan to continue reading this series and hope the typos get better.

This book is a gem! From the beginning to the end, this author evidences a clear story line, character development, created anticipation for the reader, and ended the book well with the reader wanting more.One will read this and desire the next in the series.Enjoy the ride and don’t become a wizard!

A group of pretty much unlikable characters. Towards the end, it was a hard slog, but I eventually finished. I'm going to try the second book in the series, in hopes that it's smooth out a bit. If it does not improve, I'll just abandon it. You'll have to look and see if I reviewed the second book to know whether the series is good. LOL

John Cressman did a great job with creating an interesting storyline with this first book of his series.I like that the characters aren't over powered and especially it's not a instant harem, though it looks possible in the future.

If you like LITRPG you will enjoy this book. What I liked most about this book is that it focuses on the MC and party and doesn't spread quickly to do a bunch of world building. The world building is done thru the perception of the world by the MC. The magic system has a bit of a twist to it which is interesting also. Looking forward to the next book John!

Ethan being teleported to a new world instantly with out dying waking up in a meadow hurting all over even his brain hurt . Forced to come to his senses before he was attacked or killed .Smelling water near by helped clear his brain fog an opened his eyes to his surroundings trying to register his aware abouts try to piece together what happened to him .recommend reading excellent book

It's a good story that flows from a game to kidnapping to all real thing i think? When part 2 will come out who knows the only bad thing with series

All the elements are there for the usual litrpg portal fantasy, but there's a few nice details and little twists that give it its own unique flavour.

Well put together and we'll written enjoyed reading the book it started off well and got better hope the next one is as good

Spiele gern MMPORG-Spiele und finde die Idee einfach toll, das man so ein Spiel so richtig "erleben" kann/bzw. muss. Denn der Held macht es ja nicht freiwillig... Mehr Inhalt gibt es nicht - nur eine klare Leseempfehlung für alle Spieler und diejenigen, die in ihrer Fantasie schon gern in anderen Welten/Orten unterwegs waren. Für mich ist der Autor eine neue Leseentdeckung. Bin auf die Fortführung gespannt.

The mc and others from other worlds are kidnapped and are placed in a situation where magic appears to be real and the world is run by game like mechanics. The question as to is it real or are they in an alien vr system and what will happen if they die is a question explored but can't be answered. Good story flow and plenty of interesting adventure. I will be reading the next 2 entries but like other reviewers hope the set up doesn't go full harem.
