Q: How easy would it be to avoid dying the stitching when applying this product? I have red leather with black stitching.

The way to isolate parts you don't want to dye is using masking tape but, in this case, to avoid dying the stitching seems a very difficult, if not impossible, task. Sorry!

Q: does this work on faux leather?

It is suitable for leather, canvas and synthetic leather.
