“My” Beans
I looked on Amazon for Kidney beans because the bulk beans at the local markets looked crappy. They had a lot of broken beans and looked kind of dirty. The organic and conventional grown beans looked like they came from the same bag. (Wouldn’t be the first time this grocer did something like this!) The price seemed kind of high and the “organic” were a dollar more per pound. I found all this pretty disappointing and living in a small town where choices are few I checked here! (The real reason for Amazons success is about choices and filling that void)So here I am in my favorite store! My laptop!I was kind of worried about buying 25 pounds and risk getting the same junk I would get locally. The price per pound was good and the reviews seemed to good to be true. The one poor review seemed pretty weak and all the good ones were adamant about how good these beans are. I was also thinking would we be able to eat these before they get stale.Got the bag and opened to see some really beautiful beans! I repacked them back into large jars for storage. In the whole bag I found 1 small piece of a broken bean and I don’t think it came from any of “my” beans. These beans are so clean that. though you should check as they are used, I would be surprised if you find anything but beautiful, intact, perfect beans. So I put some in my Insta pot. Flubbed it because of to many beans not enough water, not enough time. So I corrected all the issues put them on the stove top to finish. If anything was going to be wrong with these beans it was going to be me being in a hurry and not paying attention to details! Anyway they still got cooked and even though I tried to mess it up, they are so good! We’ll have a hard time not over eating these.I think I found the secret to the beans that a local restaurant serves. Their beans have always been awesome and I could never figure out how he made them so good! He just smiles shrugs when I ask. I don’t take it personally because I know he just wants me to come back. These beans came out as good as his and just think how good they would be if I cooked them correctly. I will never tell Jose I figured it out because we enjoy the game!Anyway! I would say go for it! You won’t be disappointed This is a great product!I didn’t get anything out of this except being able to buy some really good beans!Oh yeah! Lunch time! See ya!Update 4/8/20: These beans are so good. Don't buy them! More for me! The more I cook with them the better they come out! So stay away from My Beans!Update! 6/17/20: Wanted to order some more of these really good beans but not at $30.00 more per bag! That is a 75% increase in price! Great beans at a not so good price!Over $3.00 a pound for a #25 bag! Kudos for supply and demand and marketing. Found some beans as good as these closer to home for a fair price! (25# bag $1.10 per #, cash and carry)All the best!

The best I've ever used.
These are very fresh. They cook in less time and taste better than the kidney beans on plastic bags. They are better than the beans from whole foods. I make a batch of rajmah every week and I go through a lot of beans and these beans are the best. I bought these because whole foods ran out and the Indian grocery store was closed because of the pandemic and I will never go back.

Old dried beans from a company that I should have been able to trust.
The media could not be loaded. I bought these beans a couple months ago, to store. We put them in 5-gallon sealed buckets, with oxygen absorbers, we have a commercial kitchen in our home, I do know how to store dried beans. These are possibly the worst dried beans I have ever purchased. I didn't really look at them when we bought them because I thought oh they're Camellia they'll be great , I have bought their beans in the one pound packages in the past, and they have been First Quality. I didn't really look at them, we just put them in the 5-gallon and sealed it. I opened the bucket today to make red beans and rice for tomorrow, to get the red beans ready to soak tonight. As soon as I looked at the beans I knew there was something wrong. Some of them looked moldy, there were many that were split already, and most of them the Skins were already wrinkled. I picked over a pound, and put them in the water to soak. As you can see from the pictures and the video this is approximately an hour and a half after putting them into soak, the beans started to split almost immediately, they look absolutely awful. The worst part is, I paid $75 for a huge bag of beans, and I'm going to end up throwing the whole bucket out, I'm not even going to try to use them, they look horrible, most of them are split already, and I can guarantee you that even after an overnight soak they will be so tough if I cook them all day they'll never cook. Extremely disappointed, have purchased small packages at my local store of camellia Beans use a lot of red beans so I decided to buy a large quantity. Never again. I will look for another brand.

Best beans available!
These are the best beans on the market. They are large and cook up wonderfully while maintaining their shape with a very "toothsome" quality. They have a meatier and more robust quality when cooked and do not disappear into the dish like other brands. I won't use anything else!

The best red beans you can get
When I saw this massive bag of beans I knew I had to have it. Red beans and rice is one of my favorite dishes of all time and these are the best red beans I've had. They are definitely a US No. 1 grade bean in my household.

Super delicious
I wasn't sure whether I was being silly to order expensive beans when you can get red beans much cheaper at the supermarket. But the flavor is exceptional, and I really like the recipe for New Orleans Style Red Beans and Rice on the package. It's the recipe I've been wishing for for years! I have re-ordered these several times. Try them. You'll like them.
