Thank you for your question, Mario! This fountain is designed for use with standard 110v-120v power outlets.

Q: Just got my 2 gallon fountain and it’s running very loud. Is anyone else having this problem?

Change the filter and foam gasket at least once a month. Make sure you take the fountain apart and clean thoroughly in hot water. The fountain and part will feel slimy. I use a dish brush to scrub all of the parts including fountain. Rinse well until no residue. Dry and put back together. Be sure to follow instructions regarding the foam gasket and the charcoal filter. Make sure you wave plenty of water in the fountain. I have 2 small yorkies and I keep it full. Usually, the noise happens when the water gets too low. I did purchase 2 of the fountains so I always have one ready to go while I clean the other. It just saves time, and they always have water available. I hope this helps.

Q: Why is there always foamy bubbles on top of the water?

Thank you for your review. Any foamy bubbles on the water's surface can be caused by one of two things. If you use a very sudsy soap when cleaning the fountain, you need to be sure to thoroughly rinse the fountain when cleaning as any soap residue may lead to this. Alternatively, this is your pet's saliva. As your pets take a drink, their saliva can fall into the fountain and float on the water's surface. As the water aerates from the waterfall, this can cause the foaminess you're experiencing. To clean this, we recommend soaking your pet fountain in a 50/50 water and white vinegar solution.
