Great product, a bit expensive, but great product
This video rig for my iPad worked really well. It was strong, and through dragging it around three conferences, it did not break. I like using my iPad for video shoots (I am a social media manager) so my iPhone is free to post extra things, communicate with people, etc. while my iPad is tied up. I'd also like to give a shout out to the company for the fantastic customer service - when I first thought it wouldn't work well, they generously sent me a brand new one to be sure I had the latest version and was very good about following up to make sure I was a satisfied customer - bravo!

I’m a Fan!
So much better than the old clamp I used to mount my iPad to the tripod. I originally bought a Melamount because it was cheaper. I had watched iOgrapher’s YouTube video about this mount and thought- if the iOgrapher that is marketed for the IPad Pro 9.7 works on the IPad 5 then surely the Melamount made for the same IPad will work. WRONG!This thing is great! Easy to install iPad into the unit, feels plenty sturdy, and good solid handles. I love that it’s made in the USA. Makes me not mind paying a little more for it. This will come in very handy for video shoots and as a handy device to use the iPad.

It does the job of holding the ipad.
The plastic needed deburring in places and it covers the ipad's on/off switch leaving no room to operate it. Other than this, it does what I needed.

Simple and effective
Sturdy, well engineered, well manufactured. Designed to do a simple task and does it very well. Makes the iPad into much more effective and useful camera. On the downside, eyecup should be included for proper use, but is instead sold as a separate accessory. The price is high enough to include.

Great Product!
I use this to hold my Ipad Air 2 for video recording. I record lots of my kids sports activities and it is perfect! This is my second Iographer case as I had a crack in my old one which wouldn't allow me to use the lens attachments. It still can be used but my new one is a nice upgrade. I would purchase again if I had to, it's an awesome product!

Cheaply made and terrible design compared to old versions!
This is my second iOgrapher video rig. I'm a proud owner of the first version that I have for the iPad mini 2. It has worked perfectly for 3 years. It fits the iPad snuggly without damaging/scratching the device. It is fairly robust with little to no flex in the plastic over normal use. The base with tripod attachment is firm and connects easily. Lastly, the iPad lens opening lines up perfectly with the device and adding new lens has been effortless. Now, here is where it gets ugly with the new version for the iPad 9.7 inch. I could tell almost immediately that the design, fit and finish of this product was inferior to the old type. The plastic housing is thinner in almost all areas. Once the iPad was installed, the lens doesn't line up centered with the cutout or put it remotely close to the center of any attached lens. This causes the device to show rounded and cutoff video or pictures in the bottom half corners of the viewing area. I contacted the company customer support and they said I may need to zoom in with the device to make the cutoff rounded edges to go away. Seriously that's your remedy? This was a none issue with the old models because it was MADE perfectly centered!! Needlessly to say, their customer service gave me the run around. The new model fits TOO tightly on the device. The old fit perfect even with a glass screen protector. The new one smashes the screen protectors if installed. And, yes the screen protectors are identical in thickness. Just extremely poor design here.Next, There is no reinforcement area around the tripod connection mount. This area is EXTREME flimsy and any slight pressure or even light wind can cause the whole unit to sway and flex with little effort when mounted. Lastly unlike the older models, there is no proper cutout around the power button area to get your finger in there to turn on/off the device. Unless of course you have fingers the size of a newborn child. C'mon really? I have to literally use the tapered end of a pen to get in there to contact the button of the device.I bought this just before Christmas and waited until much after to open and extensively test. Boy did I make a mistake and put my self past the return time frame.Overall, extremely dissatisfied with a product that I assumed would be of similar quality as their old versions. Now I'm stuck with a useless $70 piece of plastic! Thanks iOgrapher. I will spend my money elsewhere now.

Videoing made easy!
Used the Ographer Filmmaking Case the day it arrived. It was so easy to use and the video recording was fantastic, no shakes or movement of the iPad at all. Love the ability to use on a tripod and the option to add a microphone and lighting to it made the decision very easy to make. I love that is product is made in the USA.
