I have used cast iron pots for many years. Got this pot as a replacement for one which I have had and used very regularly for some considerable time - yes you may pay a little more to get these pots but for the length of time and usage you get from them it is well worth the little extra you pay for them. The size of this pot is perfect for cooking for two. It can be used either on the hob to complete the cooking or once the pot and it’s contents reaches it’s cooking temperature put in the oven on a low heat setting to complete the cooking (the pot will hold it’s temperature exceptionally well once heated through so consequently cooking temperatures can be greatly reduced to complete the cooking thus saving energy costs). Soups, stews, paste sauce’s, Bolognaise etc all turn out tasty and extremely tender. Have only had this pot for a week but have already used it several times and it seems very robust and extremely easy to clean it also looks attractive. I feel I will get many years service out of this pot. Yes they are a little heavier than a steel pot but still very manageable. Cooking with a cast iron pot really does make a difference to your cooking ‘yummyness’ and I highly recommend this pot.

The pot is of good quality. The temperature spreads evenly. It is convenient to cook second courses and stew meat. It is easy to clean and there are no traces on the inner enamel from dark sauces.

This is the first enamel coated cast iron pan I have used and I didn't notice that the rim of the pot and lid are bare cast iron so unfortunately it rusted slightly as I left them in the dish drainer overnight after washing. Now I am very careful to dry the pot and lid competely and coat the bare parts in oil and store with a sheet of greaseproof paper between the lid and pot. I don't have an oven but if I did I would just season it like a regular cast iron pot and that would stop it from being able to rust. Definitely worth the money though as I couldn't afford a Le Creuset in a million years!I love that this pot is so easy to clean, just soak for a few minutes and any food just wipes off. It also gets really hot and seems to cook stews and soups much better than my other favourite stainless steel pan.

I had always wanted to cook in one of these, and buying this product has proven I made the right choice. I cooks well and evenly, and is simple to clean.

This is a lovely shallow cast iron casserole pan with lid. I bought it in a fantastic striking green colour - looks great. A heavy item, easy to clean (keep it oiled) and simple from the hob to the oven.Love it!

Beautiful colour and ideal size for two people. Cooked a roast beef joint with potatoes and veg with ease.

I use this pot for soups, stews and even making bread. Solid, well made and very easy to clean. It also looks well just sitting on the counter. I'm going to purchase another.
