Problems on first startup and complete failure to follow.
This unit seemed like it was worth a shot to mill some logs but it quickly turned out to be a complete waste. It fired up ok to start but the clutch failed right away on the first test cut. The chain would move randomly and you could hear a grinding noise. Ran a few more test cuts and the thing died and will not re start.Don’t waste your money. Buy a real saw

It works
I purchased this because the Stihl I have is too small to run the alaskan sawmill with a 30' bar, and upgrading and sticking with Stihl would have cost well north of $1000. I used this to cut 28' wide slabs out of a black walnut log. Zero issues with power. It is loud, but hearing protection is always a good idea. As long as it ends up lasting, this is an excellent buy. And what other chainsaw has a decompression switch for starting it?

Wish I were not disappointed, as it could be a great saw
I ordered the whole package and extra chain. The 1st tank chewed through trees faster than any other saw I've had. It was a beast and I thought the best saw I've owned.Day 2, it started and ran, but when the chain was engaged (pulled trigger), the chain moved very slowly, although it was wide open.I tried several chain tensions to see if that helped and it did not.I checked the filter, although it was new and that was good of course.I contacted the company and there has been no response.Off brands like Holzfforma are hard to take to "normal" shops, as many will not even look at them.It was a risk. I will try to fix it myself or find someone who will work on knockoffs. I loved it that first tank and want it to run properly is all.=====UPDATE=====They advised changing gas mixture which didn't seem right. i did so. Nothing. Given the symptoms, I figured clutch. I ended up tightening the clutch and it works now. NOTE: nut on sprocket is reverse thread. Also, too tight and the chain will run when it starts which is dangerous and will surprise you. Find a happy medium.I will update after I adjust and head back to the woods next week! :-)

save up for a real chainsaw
It survived the break in period, then crapped out immediately. A shop said the cylinder was shot. I did everything correctly, I promise. Just save up the necessary dollars for one that can handle tough work.

Wheres the power? right HERE.
Nothing cuts wood like .404 chain. You just need a saw with enough power to pull .404 chain. This is the set up right here. Not a piece of plastic on the saw either, outside of the gas/oil caps and a few knobs. A true beast.

broke down within 5 minuets
Nice and big heavy duty saw. Put it all together and started it up. They need to be used at a slow breaking for the first few tanks of gas. Took a little bit to get it started , once going we gently applied it to a log. withing about an 1" in the cut the blade stopped turning. when we went to restart it. the flywheel was broken. disappointed. we were all ready to cut up a fallen tree over Christmas break. needless to say that did not happen. May be a STHIL look-a-like. but not made like one. Hopefully other folks have better luck with these china knock-offs.
