Monthly Calendar For Classroom Pocket Chart

This project is great for my classroom. It’s large enough for all the students to clearly read. It’s light and easy to hang up. It’s great because it has the weather, calendar and season on one chart. It also has a storage pocket for all of the pieces provided.

This is so great. It has all the basics—Month, date, year—and not a bunch of clutter activities. Plus simple weather and seasons cards. I love the “Today” card that is placed in the date slot. Plus there are tons of holiday cards to use if desired. The best part is that most of the holiday cards come in 2 sizes—one is the same size as the date cards, and the other is taller so that it can be placed behind the date and see both the number and the holiday.The only slight complaint I have is that the cards must be punched out very carefully to ensure that they don’t rip. I ended up with a few that have a corner of the backing torn away slightly. Once they are popped out of the sheet, they are sturdy enough glossy cardstock (although I would consider laminating them if I had a big class, but we homeschool, so I’m not too concerned about the cards being mistreated).

I needed this for my daycare! It had all sorts of holidays and closures that I needed! My kiddos love it as well!

Only reason I bought this item was because my daughter is 6 and gets her days, weeks, etc mixed up. So she can visually see daily what days it is. The only reason I give it a 4 starts is because; 1 since it gets folded in a box, the plastic is bent in the middle. 2 you also have to take all those pieces off a cardboard individually, it took like an hour. Then like 30 more minutes to organize all the pieces. So it’s a hassle, but everything came as expected.

I really like the calendar but it was missing various cards. Maybe I could let it slide if it was holidays, but I am missing days 18 to 26 so I cannot complete the dates. The dates were the most important part for me because I'd like to teach my girls how to use a calendar. Hopefully I can be sent spare cards so I can finish the display.
