These do what they claim, boost 12v to 24v at 50a. Also you CAN use them in parallel for more current. What is TOUGH is supplying them with enough 12v power.I used two in parallel to achieve 100A to an inverter (Why? Just experimenting.) The inverter kept faulting, so I thought these couldn't supply quick surge current... WRONG. The large 12v battery (connected by 1ga wire, powered by a running alternator) voltage would drop. I put a 5 Farad capacitor (input side) to catch drop and now these deliver some insane power and handle >3000w of surge (x2 in parallel).Most of the reviews I'm reading clearly aren't supplying these with enough power.A few notes. In my testing, they stay cool. They don't do any obnoxious beeping. They are pretty expensive but I'm satisfied.

Used to power instrumentation on a vehicle in extreme conditions. Used in positive 50c to power instrumentation and a computer and it did great!

I purchased this to use with a dewalt battery to step down the 20v to 13.8 for running a trolling motor on a small boat.Works fantastic, Holds a solid 13.8 volts even under load. I can run around the water for a few hours on a single charge with these batteries and they weigh so much less than any lead acid car battery.Great little gadget im sure ill find uses for another.

We ordered this to power an inverter that requires a 24V DC input. When the inverter did not power up, we contacted the manufacturer. They were prompt and courteous in their response. They told us it cannot be used to power an inverter so we returned it. Overall, we think this appears to be a well made item and, except for using it to power an inverter, we think it is a safe item to purchase.

Works perfect! I was a little worried about doing it since I didnt see anyone with the set up I was trying to achieve in my RV. But basically I installed 12kw of lithium’s in my 5th wheel but its all 48v so I still had to keep the old flooded lead acid batteries for all the lights, slides, jacks, etc. I took 4 of these and wired them into my 48v lithium and then on the other end wired it right into the same wire the old 12v batteries were. Gives me 120 amps of power so all of the jacks work flawlessly and the lights are steady. Most importantly it saved me a ton of space and weight, these things are tiny and I just made a piece of wood to mount them on up and out of the way.

I have ordered three of these 25 amp units from Amazon, between May 2022 and June 2022, that have not worked and I have returned to Amazon. I have experience with the 20 amp units that regulated the dc input to 13.8 volts and worked perfectly. Amazon must have a bad run of these 25 amp units. I just ordered a fourth unit utilizing Amazons excellent return policy. I will update my rating if the fourth units actually works. Again this is a problem with the 25 amp units.Update 6/14/2022, I just tested the fourth unit that I received and it was also bad. I have returned all four. This is the 8-40 volt, regulated to 13.8 volts, 25 amps. DC840138-25.

Super easy to wire up. I have taken it to 600W and it will work. It does get slightly warm at that amount of power but it gets the job done.

I bought this the 36v to 24v 20A so I could power a 24v kid's ride on toy that should draw a maximum of 15A. No moving parts, no pinned connections to worry about how to solder, just apply voltage and it works! If you try to price anything similar from a big electronics store, it can be difficult to find and very expensive.Both I and a child rode the ride-on around for 20 min or so. Converter was not even warm. Hope it continues working as well as it has initially.Instructions were clear and concise.

Installed 3 weeks ago, running on a 24/7 basis, functioning as expected. Seems to be fine. Relatively inexpensive, so I will order a spare as back up. Running 12Vdc loads on an island cottage, critical component for communications, pumping water, VHF radio etc. Island’S solar system is 48Vdc, so needed a step down transformer for conversionNow running for five years, no problems. Great product.

It performed as stated. DC voltage in and a constant 13.8 volts out. nice product for my garden tractor voltage regulator.

Used this on a 48 volt Electric Gator, (like a golf cart) to step down the 48 volts to 12 and run an actuator to tip the dump box (factory was a manual dump). so far so good, working as it should for the past month, output is 12ish volts which is good.
