Well, any power comsumption must be minimal, because I do not remove this device from the lighter charger. I guess it depends on car type. Sorry I couldn't provide a solid answer.

It should do but I'm not sure why it's not working for you. Check Bluetooth settings on your phone. Is it in your list of paired devices?

Q: can I connect 2 bluetooth devices

Both my phone and my partners phone are paired to our device and it seems a bit random which phone is connected when we are both in the car so technically yes but it can only output the sound from one device. Note the transmitter is not a Bluetooth output, it can't connect to speakers it is RF output to car radio.

Q: Everything connects and plays but no sound, any ideas?

Two things I can think of is if your radio is not tuned into the frequency on the display and also there are 3 different volumes to adjust; on your device, spinning the outer ring around the outside of the display and also your car radio. Check all 3 are turned up.
