Haven't gotten through all chapter, but the first half is not exactly the messages I want my 13 year old to read. I have read other books from this collection and they were great. But this was a bit to harsh and the language and delivery I think are problematic for young girl's that don't yet have complexes with their appearance. Now if your teen already is self conscious of her skin and body, then she may relate to the language. But if not, then this might be an introduction to more self esteem struggles

Bought this book for my 11 year old to read together. At his age we focus on the nutrition and choices we make on food and portion sizes. We need to talk out some of the big words, but this book is written to talk to the kids, for them to understand. So when he has a question and does not want to talk to me, he can pick up this book. Its great. Now for 11 year old, some parts we skipped, but we went over the titles, so if he had questions, we talked about them. This book validated me, as the parent, because we know kids don’t listen to their parents all the time.

An important handbook for every teen and parents. A must read for every teen and parents. Very informative. My 2 teens love it. It opens a huge door for our family discussion. Information is power and Dr Oz has armed every teen, parent, guardian, the gift of knowledge. I love it. I will buy a bunch more to give as Christmas present to all the parents with teen I know. Speedy shipping time too, it's only 4 days.

This book will let the teenage mind explore without wondering. This is written by Doctors, so we can be sure the truth is there.I like all I have read. I also feel this might answer some questions that the kids are not quite sure how to ask.I would recomend this to others.

I liked looking through this book. My teen seemed less than eager to pick it up, but I feel good knowing it's available to her when she has a question about her health.

My oldest gets very embarrassed when talking about growing up. This book allows him to look up topics that he is too embarrassed to discuss but then will quote it back to me if a topic comes up.

I bought this for my neice. She needs a place to go learn about her! I think this will be a great book for her. I hope she gets the message.

I actually bought this for me (mom with 2 daughters) but if i have something applicable, i use it to explain in a non-judgmental way.
