Docooler Inductive Hour Meter for Marine ATV Motorcycle Dirt Ski Waterproof (Green)

I purchased 5 of these to ensure we stay up today on all of our power equipment maintenance intervals. Let me start by saying that I have installed approximately 20 of these, mostly Sendec's, and a few other brands and never had any issues. I thought that I'd try to save a little dough at a third the price of the Sendec. Well these install in roughly the same manner, five loops around the spark plug cable, Zip tie and then fasten the device to the equipment, Easy! 3 of the 5 work well, 1 is not tracking the time properly and sometimes does not register hours, and another resets the clock after about an hour and half of logged equipment usage, when it logs time, which it does intermittently. I think that I will go for the nicer ones, as I know that they work.

I will post when the battery finally fails on this. It works well, and there is a certain amount of trust when going by an hour meter anyway. If I tell someone the engine has X number of hours and has gone through 2 or 3 meters, I am using it to log maintenance, so those logs along with the hours from this are what is important. The installation was fast, a zip tie, and some 3M double sided foam tape, and done (The tape was not included). It is easy enough to read when you need to, but does require a little effort.

I bought 2 of these for my Kawasaki generators.They work great and give me an accurate reading for scheduled maintenance.Installs in 2 minutes with double stick tape, then just wrap the included wire around the spark plug wire. I also secured the wire with a couple small tie-wraps.Both have worked perfectly since August of 2014.Recommended.

There must be a battery in it, but no way to change it. What happens when the display goes blank? Other than that I like it a lot.

Easy to install. . Wrap one end around the spark plug wire, the other inserts into the unit and your set. Way more than enough lead wire for my small generator. Always have some 3M double sided tape on hand for stuff like this, Makes it truly a no drilling required project.

Took about 3 months to get here, but works as advertised.

Bought a "wireless" hour meter that just flat out did not work. I vibrated the thing every which a way too. This one works right as advertised. Only wish it had an event reset like the other was suppose to have.

I have several of these brand Hour meters. I put them on dirt bikes, quads, and generators. They are good enough and priced right that when you rebuild engines you can purchase another and start over.
