Works great for labeling clothes with a stamp
We have a simple 1/4" x 1" hand stamp with our last name (bought from an online store called Five Star Stamp--Google it) that we use for labeling the kids' clothes. It fits (diagonally) just right on these tiny ink pads.We bought a black ink pad and a white ink pad for labeling light and dark clothes, and after a couple of months we haven't noticed any fading of the ink (although we've only used the white one a few times so far).

Dries out fast
Edit: Less than a month after opening it basically dried up. I used it for Christmas gifts then went to use it again over the weekend. I could barely get one stamp out it. I left it sitting out on my sewing table so I'm not sure what happened. So annoying. Not cheap either.Original:I purchased the black ink pad. As others have mentioned this is a very small ink pad but it worked for me. I have a small stamp for labeling fabrics, it's just a little bigger than the ink pad. I just dabbed the ink pad all over the stamp and it seemed to work fine. I ended up using more ink than I thought to get a good dark image. Even still it was hard to get a truly black/dark stamped image.I took off one star because I could not find any good instructions on how to heat set this ink. It's truly annoying. Even the company website gives no useful information aside from 'heat set, no steam'. So I did some research and here's what I came up with.Let ink dry. Hard to tell so I just left it for a couple hours.Heat set on each side for least 30 seconds, no steam. Some people did up to 2 minutes but my fabrics wouldn't have liked that so I did 30 seconds. It did seem to have a fabric pigment lightening affect on the darker side of the fabric but it's barely noticeable. Could be that even 30 seconds was too long for my knit fabrics (cotton/lycra mix). Probably should have used a press cloth. Some people suggested using a dryer to heat set.Don't wash for at least 2-3 days, preferably 1-2 weeks to really make sure it's set.

tiny little ink pad
I saw a post online that this ink holds up very well when stamping on fabric (after it's heat-set) so I wanted to give it a try with my mini letter stamps. I'm glad that my stamps are so small because this ink pad is teeny tiny (like 1" x 1"), but it's great for what I need. The letters come out nice and crisp and a perfect black, so they're very legible.

Just what it says
Perfect size for little alphabet stamps. It did not come with specific directions on setting the ink, but I imagine it's the same as similar products.
