Great feeling fabric for my custom steering wheel cover project
I purchased this fabric to use for a custom steering wheel cover that I'm attempting to create, since I couldn't find any pre-made ones that I liked. I haven't yet completed the project, but I've done a test run that involved cutting the fabric to size and trying to fit it and loosely stitch it in place around the wheel, and the fabric worked well. It's got a good feel on the soft side, but I need to find a suitable rubber-like padding for underneath it, to both bulk up the wheel a bit, and to make sure the cover doesn't slip or rotate on the wheel, once installed and stitched in place. Overall, I'm quite pleased with the fabric, the quantity I received (enough to make several covers ... or at least several attempts), and the shipping.

My go-to upholstery fabric
I have purchased this fabric many times and in several different colors. The aubergine is a grayish purple. It's not bright at all. It's a sophisticated dusty purple.I love this fabric. I use it extensively in my home and in my upholstery shop. It wipes clean with water most of the time, and it stands up beautifully to multiple machine washings when needed. Permanent upholstery needing a deeper clean does great with a hand-held "steam cleaner," like the Bissell Little Green. I've used several dark colors, and I've never experienced fading or bleeding colors. In addition to its superior stain resistance, it's extremely durable. I have several pets, and their nails have scratched, gouged, punctured, and even torn my quality leather furniture. They've never damaged my passion suede furniture. Even punctures from a cat sharpening his claws seem to just heal themselves. Initially I had concerns about the slightly fuzzy suede-like surface getting flattened or worn bald. After about 2 or 3 years of heavy use on the cushion of our main sofa, that hasn't happened yet. This fabric has absolutely zero stretch which is something. I wish I had considered when constructing my sofa cushion. I made a box cushion and that's exactly what it is - a box. With nowhere to go, the foam and batting in the overstuffed cushion can't crown at all and are just compressed flat inside the cover. Now that I've realized this, I've learned to cut my pieces just a little bit larger and very subtly gather the fabric as I sew on any parts where I want some fullness.Like any textured fabric, it hangs on to pet hair more than I'd like. After vacuuming I use a furniture pet hair brush up remove any stubborn clinging hairs. The positive about that is that the hairs tend to stick in the pile rather than transferring to your clothing.I've made piping with it on only one project, and I didn't like the results. The piping ended up stiff and hard to manage. It acted like it had tight twists throughout the length that were struggling to untwist themselves.Similarly, it just doesn't drape well. I use it for upholstery so that's fine with me, but I wouldn't recommend it for curtains, clothing, or a skirt at the bottom of an upholstered piece. It just seems too stiff and like it's wanting to bend and twist in all the wrong places and directions.I would highly recommend this fabric (in this color or any other) for upholstery, mostly due to its easy care/stain resistance and it's superb durability. It's perfect for heavy use, and homes with kids and pets. If you're thinking about attempting something like an upholstered or tufted headboard as your first upholstery piece, this is the faux suede you're looking for.The photos show a chair upholstered in aubergine and charcoal passion suede. The throw pillows are made of different fabrics. These were taken while I was still working on the chair and I had just sipped the cover on the cushion. Those lumps and most of the piping smoothed out when I finished adjusting everything. The other picture is of my pit bull Jack who snuck into the chair before it was even finished while my back was turned. We have a chair, a headboard, and sofa cushions upholstered in passion suede. I've given up on keeping this big dog (or the rottweiler or the schnauzer) off the furniture and they have yet to damage it.**Lately my phone has been changing correct words into phrases or nonsense. I have no idea why, but I'm too tired to catch it proofreading. I apologize if you come across something that doesn't make sense. **

Not uv resistant. Will fade in sunlight within 2-3weeks
Feels nice and durable. Only major flaw is that it’s not really made for vehicles as it fades quite quickly when in sunlight. Lost color within 2-3 weeks. Rather than years. And I had it on c pillar covers not flat in the Saul like a parcel shelf. It’s thick enough to resist soaking if you use the correct adhesive from the correct spray distance . Have to use the stuff that comes out like spider webs.. if you use fine mist glue it willPool and soak the fabric causing discoloration and inconsistent look when fitted. It’s good if you don’t need it to stretch or withstand UV or sunlight

Used for motorcycle seats.
I had this product about a year. The fabric is nice and worked good for my motorcycle seats. The bike is kept indoors and I only had the fabric outside for a few days during rides. After a year the fabric faded to a medium gray. I was thinking about dying it, but didnt want it staining my clothing. The fabric itself did hold up well.

Good Product. Less than good shipping
Received my package today. First thoughts was the shipping. They sent 2 yards folded up and shoved into a flat rate envelope. I didn't care for that as it put several folds in the suede. Now as far as the product goes. Its real light weight. Which is great for many applications. As for mine, im wrapping my Ford Ranger Dash with it. Its a real soft touch but to me doesnt "Brush" like suede. But it seems to be a really great product. My only worry is fadeing. Which I update this review not if fades but when it fades to let fellow shoppers know how it holds up in sun

Nice product for the price.
Pretty good product. I used it to cover some interior car parts. It is a great value. But if you want professional grade this is not it. I didn't want to spend the high dollars on a product when I was just learning how to apply it to my interior parts. I got enough to do each part a few times since I knew I would make mistakes when applying the micro suede. I would prefer something with a little more stretch. If you are doing parts that aren't overly curvy this will work great.

All Wrong!
I bought this exact same fabric in 2015. It was micro suede and a perfect match to the color of the item pictured. I bought more recently (2018) and what arrived is the exact opposite. It is not micro suede and the color is a bright almost neon blue. Returning it. The seller needs to update their listings to match their inventory.

DON'T BUY RED!!!
I ordered two colors, green and this red. This red bleeds so horribly. Red on my ironing board, my fingers, my clothes and sofa. Ten yards down the drain. And yes, I washed with salt and vinegar several times. Still rubs off on everything. Horrible dye job. Green is great though no rub off.
