A lovely sorry for my son
At first my son, who has asd, didn't like it, the initial loss of a beloved toy upset him.But he soon loved it, and was really happy at the end. It's even inspired me to incorporate elements into a d&d storyline

Gorgeous
I wondered at one point where this book was going as it started really well and went of in a strange direction…but it turn out to have a beautiful story with a really powerful meaning

MUCH better than The Ickabog
This, like The Ickabog, is definitely a children's story, but The Christmas Pig is far more relatable, with realistic human characters as well as normally inanimate objects which speak and act.The descriptions of the places visited are very nicely done, and the entire concept of the world being described (I won't give away any spoilers) is a very nice one, with meaning for adults and children alike. If you read The Ickabog and were somewhat put off, let The Christmas Pig persuade you that JKR *can* write for children, and in a very pleasant way.

Enjoyable but a bit dark
Well written and engaging but a tad dark for younger children, especially at Christmas.

Good Fun
An imaginative (albeit somewhat derivative) xmas story that takes you on a fantastic journey into the world of the lost and (hopefully) found
