I bought this pen on a whim purely for the Picasso concept (I am an art historian). I have several fountain pens in everyday use including Pelikan Sovereigns, Sheaffer Targas and a Conklin and did not expect this low-cost pen to match them in performance but was pleasantly surprised. The nib writes smoothly, the ink reservoir is sturdy and the overall build is solid. It is pleasantly hefty in the hand when closed, allowing the poseur to make enigmatic gestures in conversation, mainly because of the solid bronze clip (odd fasces design not quite in keeping with Picasso's political leaning) and the gold intaglio (good version of a Picasso drawing of Marie-Therese Walter with a few incongruous Daliesque breadrolls as decoration). A little light in the hand without the lid until one holds it 1.5 inches from the nib point when it is perfectly balanced for writing; with the lid on, hold it about 3 inches from the nib point, lightly balanced like a calligraphy brush. I like this pen and will use it with Edelstein Onyx ink.

This is an excellent product overall. I've delayed writing the review so that I can test the Foundain pen for linkages, construction etc. via everyday use. I now had the pen for a month and used it everyday at work. No problems whatsoever, the writing is fantastic and it looks really nice with the picasso engraving on it. Would buy again.

Nice pen for a gift, Good presentation box. Havent written with it so cant say but the pens holds nicely and looks nice. Will update once tried. Even so slightly expensive for a non big brand pen but have been disappointed with both Cross and Parker pens enough to return them without writing with them based on looks alone which isnt the case with this one.

Very good product, easy to fill, great writing nib, best value for money compared to much more expensive well known brands.

I collect fountain pens. Browsing Amazon for ink cartridges, I came across this item, and found very favorable feedback. Price was ridiculously low, so I could not resist buying one. After all, can always return to Amazon. What I found truly surprised me, particularly for a 100% Chinese product, where the objective is often to produce the cheapest product possible to attract buyers. In this case, the pen was made with high quality material, probably brass with lacquer finish and gold plated accents. Impressive attention to detail. Most importantly, the pen exhibits great ink flow control, and the nib is such a smooth writer, it even equals or exceeds the Parker 51 pens I own, with the Parker 51s having a reputation for being expensive, smooth writing pens made years ago. Pens in my collection include US, German, and Italian pens costing up to $600, yet after this purchase, I find myself using this pen daily. The nib is medium width, and being steel, fairly stiff. If you want a pen that will write with lots of expression with a soft flexible 18K nib, then cough up the cash for a Mont Blanc :-)) The pen can use standard ink cartridges, but I use the converter with it and use various color inks from bottles of artisan bottled inks. Ink flow has been an issue with even well made expensive pens. I am bothered with pens that dump a generous amount of ink on paper. Takes forever to dry, on cheaper paper feathers out as it gets absorbed, and empties out the reservoir fairly quickly. That is what I appreciate about the Parker 51 pens. Smooth writing, and almost dry writing. Write with this pen, then run your finger immediately over the words and no ink smearing. For users who prefer a fine point, or a very flexible nib, this pen may not be for you. Unlike ball point pens, fountain pens are similar to perfume; a very personal item that an individual either finds satisfying or not.

He tenido antes otras plumas y me ha sorprendido la escritura con esta, es muy suave. Los materiales no son para tirar cohetes pero la pluma es bonita y el estuche una pasada. Para los amantes de las plumas quizás tengan que buscar un producto de más calidad (y precio) para el resto y como pluma de diario es correcta. Por poner un pero diría que es algo pesada.

Ich bin wirklich sehr angetan von diesem Füller. Die Hülsen sind aus Metall, einschl. der Hülse für das Griffstück.Die Farben sehr schön und kräftig. Alles gerade, keine Spalten oder tastbare Unebenheiten. Der Füller hat ein gewisses Gewicht und fühlt sich auch dadurch nicht billig an. Für meinen Geschmack bleibt der Füller auch mit hinten aufgesetzter Kappe gut ausbalanciert. Durch einen in die Kappe eingesetzten Kunststoffdämpfer setzt sich die Kappe sowohl vorne als auch hinten sanft und ohne Kratzer zu hinterlassen auf.Die Kappe hält dicht. Man kann den Füller auch ein paar Tagen ungenutzt liegen lassen ohne dass er austrocknet.Der Clip ist aus dicken Metall und scheint fest mit der Kappe verbunden zu sein. Da dürfte so schnell nichts kaputt gehen.Der einzige Wermutstropfen ist, dass das Gewinde aus Kunststoff ist. Ich fürchte das wird auch die Sollbruchstelle sein. Damit sich der Füller nicht aufdreht muss das schon ordentlich zugeschraubt werde. Ich fürchte irgendwann Bruch oder zerschnittene Gewinde. Aber nach knapp zwei Wochen noch alles gut.Die Feder war anfangs etwas dünn und kratzig. Nach ein paar Zeilen jedoch eingeschrieben und hat nun die für eine mittlere Feder typische Breite. Auch das Kratzen ist verschwunden. Die Feder gleitet nun sanft über das Papier. Tintenfluss einwandfrei mit Lamy T53 Ruby Tinte.Der mitgelieferte Konverter ist in Ordnung wenn auch das Griffstück etwas wackelig ist. Da kaufe ich mir wahrscheinlich einen besseren nach. Aber bisher hält er nach 3 Füllungen.Bestellt habe ich den Füller weil ich sehen wollte was man von dieser Marke aus Shanghai zu erwarten hat und was man für das Geld bekommt. Ich bin wirklich positiv überrascht. Mit meinen Lamy m scala, der das doppelte gekostet hat, hält er alles in Allem locker mit. Tatsächlich empfinde ich das Griffstück und die Kappe als wertiger. Besser beim Lamy ist der Konverter. Der muss aber auch extra gekauft werden. An den raffinierten Mechanismus für den Clip kommt er auch nicht heran.Ich würde diesen Füller jederzeit wieder kaufen und werde bei Gelegenheit nochmal einen schönen Füller dieses Herstellers kaufen.
