Cold weather
Used this long Jhon heavy weight thermal set in Iceland during my vacation. It is very comfortable and saved me from Iceland cold. I recommend this for cold weather

comfortable
This is good looking, soft and comfortable and a good fit. It is not what I would consider as heavyweight which accounts for the this slightly lowered evaluation.

Warm enough?
Not sure these are going to be warm enough says heavyweight! Looks same as me midweight? Will see.

Great baselayer to wear under drysuit for kayaking
First, I'm 5'7", 250 lbs, 38-40 waist, 50 inch chest, XXL fits well and comfortable, though the sleeves and legs are a bit long. Not a big deal, they can be bunched up.The Fleece lining is very comfortable against my skin. I wear this under my drysuit. While in the water I found the sleeve of my drysuit had a leak. As the cold water came in, the sleeve of this base layer got pretty wet. The wet sleeve felt cold, but it still kept me fairly warm and didn't absorb much of the water, helping me to stay warm. The rest of me stayed comfortably warm in the 40Β° water, even though the drysuit itself didn't do much for warmth, it just kept me dry.**UPDATE** I have now worn this for three sessions of rolling practice in my kayak. I still have a small pinhole leak somewhere in the back panel of my drysuit, but it doesn't leak too much so I don't worry about it. This baselayer is still keeping me warm as the only thing I'm wearing under my drysuit in 45Β°f water, even when slightly damp. This isn't just while sitting inside the kayak, but also while submerged upside down and while swimming during a wet exit. This really is a great mid weight base layer, and one that any kayaker should consider for under their drysuit! If you're going to be in water any colder than this though, especially if the air temperatures are cold, I would recommend doubling up layers and either wearing a second set of these or getting a heavier layer to wear over them.Overall, this was a great buy and a much cheaper option than other base layers. I would definitely purchase this one again!-Piper's boyfriend :-)

very comfortable
Just a little lighter fabric weight than what I was expecting - Minnesota gear!

Quick to process, but slow to actually ship!
This is the most comfortable underwear I've ever worn, but for some reason it takes this product longer to actually be shipped than anything else I've ever ordered through Amazon!

Good product but misleading advertising
I could have given these a 5 star rating. They are a great midweight set of thermal underwear at a great price. So why do they only get 3 stars? Because they are not advertised as midweight. They are advertised as heavy weight for "extreme weather", and these just do not fit that bill. They will keep you cool in cold Canadian weather, but they will not keep you warm and toasty. I don't know about you, but when i think "heavyweight for extreme weather" I think they should be able to keep me warm on your average cold winter day. Nonetheless, this a very good value MID-weight thermal underwear, so if that's what you're after, give these a buy!

Great value. Really nice fabric. Reasonably generous sizing.
Pleasantly surprised. Ordered after reading reviews about sizing and I would agree that the sizing is a "little" big. The length is in the arms/legs, but the overall sizing is pretty accurate. I order the lighter of the two fabrics and it's really soft and seems to have a very subtle fleece backing. I'd say that this lighter option would be a middle of the road thermal rating. I have lighter, and heavier, but this would likely have the widest temperature range. Overall, the price and quality add up to a great purchase.
