Eeeek I've been hoping for a Kyle book after meeting him in one of the previous books!!Kyle returns after being gone for 7 years and no one knows where he's been!!Him and Rai are 🔥🔥🔥So many secrets and plot twists in this one!The ending though 😱😱😱

It’s nice, I like the story but won’t lie it took me longer to finish compared to her other books.

Rai is amazing I love her sfmmmm and Kyle is also amazing I can’t wait to read the next book now :)

Read this as I loved Rai and Kyle in legacy of gods and their kids (well 2 / 3 of them!) For anyone like me who’s reading in the wrong order, I will say this book is a lot less dark and trauma driven than the legacy of gods books. It’s more typical mafia dark romance.I’m starting to realise I probably should have started in order though and read Reina’s book but I’ve already gone rogue.Rai is a good strong FMC though. I love the whole climbing the ranks of the Bratva premise, which is one of the things that made me go for her book first.And Kyle is well hot. Good possessive MMC energy. Lots of mystery.My main challenge with this book is not a whole lot happens. It’s a good set up, easy to read and I will read the next, but feel like all the action will be in the next potentially. Let’s see!

Very interesting storyline with more and more secrets to be revealed.Cliffhanger ending which can be a hit or a miss but it definitely had me wanting to read the next book right away.

What can I say that I've not said before when it comes to Rina's books?!?! There is nothing more!!Her books get better and better. The plots and twists still come at alarming rates!! It's beyond orgasmic when the passion hits and the pulse rate ratchets up with the action!! What more can you ask for??Recommended without hesitancy and I implore you to give it a read.BUT due to the fact that Kyle is first mentioned in a prior book, I'd advise to start from the very beginning with Cruel King and then read the RES books, to follow with Rule of a Kingdom, then Reign of a King duet, which will bring you to this book!!

3.5 StarsI have read quite a few of this authors books and I really enjoy her writing style. The Rai we meet at the start was such a strong force of nature who could hold her own with all the men of the family and I loved that part of the story. Kyle is the man from her past who comes back with a roar. I enjoyed the different aspects of the story and the twists and turns however there is a lot going on and a large group of characters which at times was confusing and hard to follow. From the start I was routing for Rai but once Kyle came back she seemed to lose her fire and became a bit of a pushover which was disappointing I am hopeful she will come back stronger. This first part ends on a cliffhanger which sets up book two nicely.

It's a slow book we really still don't know anything yet. But I'm committed to finishing. This author has a way of giving you everything but nothing at the same time. And I guess that's the way of making you keep reading her books. That being said , I immediately have to jump to the second book to find out what the heck is going on

Book 📖 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Audiobook 🎧 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️I love Shane and Vanessa's voice.- Rai is an amazing character, one of the best of all the mafia books I've read.I had already been touched by her in Reina's book and I thought they were the best sisters EVER.- Kyle starts the book wanting revenge on Bravta and Rai, but he can't resist Rai and falls in love with her.- I love Rai's courage to stand up to everyone in the organization to carry on her grandfather's legacy.- I love that Kyle is protective of Rai We met Lia and Adrian and their story which we will read in the next book, We also have Damien and Mio who will also have a book in the future. Once the book was available to read, I devoured it. Every.Single.Page.Rai became my favourite heroine of all time. She had to endure all the difficulties of being a woman and not heard (even though her ideas were good) in the mafia world. I love how observant, her takes-no-bull from anyone attitude and how fearless and awesome she was. I fell in love with her!I was not ready for Kyle I tell you. Not ready.Kyle is mystery, playful, sexy, possessive, and sinister.I fell for this man, y’all. I love how lost in control he was when it came with Rai. I’m obsessed when alphas are under Heroine control yet doesn’t show it, sign me up!

I enjoyed this book a lot because for once the heroin is truly empowered, even if she is a mafia girl.The story is full of suspense and twists...

I found this story mildly convoluted but I'm hoping it will become clear in the next book in this duet. Rai's character is a strong female with a lot of mental armor and emotional range. She's a powerhouse that should be recognized within the Bratva but is overlooked because she's female. Kyle's character is fun but also confusing. I don't understand his angle and why he does what he does. It's confusing and I don't like being confused. There were several intense moments that I felt the action could have been embellished a bit more with some extra details to really get me in the scene.Overall, I enjoyed this book and look forward to the next one. I need to know what happens next and why it's happening to begin with. A few TWs to beware of, and lots of spice. 18+ and highly recommend
