These hoops are awesome! I think having different hoops and frames depending on what kind of project is important. Morgan hoops hold fabric very tight which I love, I use them for aida, printed canvas I use q snaps because it is very thick, tension hoop for small areas when a bigger hoop can't hold towards the border I'd your fabric has only an extra inch and a half.

Most hoops require constant adjusting which is hard on my arthritic hands. This hoop is so much easier and effective!
